Perry Reed's gaze swept over the kettle, his slight obsession with cleanliness making him furrow his brow. But as Daisy Deacon was about to pull back, he simply took the kettle and started to heat it.
He unscrewed the lid and took a sip.
The icy liquor slid down his throat, and after a moment of chill, it turned into a burning sensation.
Perry Reed tossed the kettle back to Daisy Deacon and asked casually, "Where do you plan to go?"
"I don't know," Daisy replied, gulping down the liquor still in the kettle without replacing the lid. She casually tossed the kettle out the window, stretched lazily, and said offhandedly, "I'll find a companion first."
Perry Reed withdrew his gaze.
Erina Taylor was gone, Slaughter was disbanded, and Daisy Deacon was leaving too. For Perry Reed, these were just small changes, but that didn't stop him from helping Daisy have a smoother path ahead.
