Arthur Baker smiled, trying to ease Aurelia's awkwardness, and said, "You don't need to care about others' opinions. I think you look fine like this. If you don't like it, we can go buy a new outfit later."
As he spoke, he handed the foie gras in front of him to her. "Eat more, you're too thin. You need to eat more, just look at your poor complexion now."
Aurelia Wood forced a smile.
Now, Arthur Baker seemed like a changed man, behaving differently toward her than before.
In the past, even if he cared for her, he wouldn't treat her so gently. He would speak to her in a manner and tone of a senior, always with a sense of disappointment in her.
But now, he was gentle and considerate, almost like a man towards his romantic interest.
Although this was the situation she had hoped for, for some reason, Aurelia felt she couldn't quite adapt, and even found it strange.
Maybe, she just wasn't used to it yet.
