Watching him like this, her heart was filled with a mix of emotions.
Gratitude, emotion, guilt...
Lucy Greene saw he had an injury on his hand and asked worriedly, "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine."
He lifted the corners of his mouth, seeing that she was finally willing to pay attention to him, Kris Shaw felt an unprecedented joy. Ever since he took her to see a doctor last time, she had been unwilling to talk to him.
Even when sick, she wouldn't take the medicine he brought over.
Seeing her go out, he was uneasy, so he followed her, only to see Harry Greene threatening her.
"Lucy, why don't you tell your dad?"
Lucy Greene's heart became even more bitter upon hearing this. "Tell him for what? The designated successor in his heart isn't me. To him, I'm just a tool for utilization."
If it weren't for Grandpa, Dad probably would've kicked her out long ago...
Lucy Greene didn't want to talk about these things, forcing a smile, "Forget it, let's not talk about it."
