The scent of death clung tightly to her, leaving her breathless.
She wanted to escape from here, to flee from this moment.
Sofia Hamilton turned and ran away, continuously moving forward until she reached the lawn outside the hospital.
She breathed heavily, feeling immense pressure on her heart and lungs, as if a stone was pressing on her chest, making every breath feel like a dull pain.
The blood on her hands reminded her that all of this was real.
