Seeing Julia lost in thought, he quickly restrained his smile and asked with concern and tenderness, "Honey, what's the matter? You seem unhappy. This is a happy occasion, yet you look so preoccupied."
While speaking, he also reached out to touch Julia's forehead, found nothing unusual, and then proceeded to carefully check her body, thinking she might be injured.
Julia caught his hand, gazing up at him with some hesitation. He was so happy, should she voice her concerns? He loved children so much, would he get angry if she asked?
"What's wrong?" Glades Horne cradled her delicate face in his hands, staring intently at her, questioning.
Her expression unsettled him, and he was unsure about what was weighing on her mind.
"Do we want this child?"
Even though she was afraid he would get angry, Julia still asked.
Glades Horne immediately narrowed his eyes, emitting a dangerous gaze as he locked onto her eyes and asked in a deep voice, "What did you say?"
