Hansen Ruiz said, "Darling, I'm sorry. It's my fault. Everything happened so suddenly and was out of our control. The situation was too tricky, so Glades and I had to handle it together." He certainly hadn't wanted to miss hearing he was going to be a father. Though he was happy when he received the call, it still wasn't the same as hearing the news in person.
"I just... Hansen, I'm not blaming you," Rachel Bailey said, a little flustered. She wasn't accusing him. She felt too much heartache for him to even consider it; she definitely didn't mean to criticize.
With a soft peck on her lips and a tender stroke on her small face, Hansen Ruiz spoke softly, "I know."
"Your mother came again," Rachel said.
