Even if he was extremely displeased deep down and felt like killing someone, he would never show it. In front of her, he wanted her to feel nothing but gentleness.
"That works too. He is your brother, after all. It's best if you pick him up." Julia was more than happy not to be the one fetching him. That man was so jealous; she figured it was best to keep her distance from her brother-in-law to avoid any semblance of impropriety.
She pulled the blanket over herself and looked at Glades, saying, "Be careful on the road. No matter what James says or does, don't hurt him." She was a bit worried that Glades might punch his brother upon hearing her name come out of his mouth.
