"What would you like to eat? I'll go buy it for you right away," Orlando Evans responded immediately, her expression one of great concern and thoughtfulness for Adele Horne. In Julia Bluen's eyes, Orlando was merely trying to curry favor.
"I want to eat..." Adele began.
"Bring her back a bowl of plain lean meat congee, and tell the shop not to add any MSG," Julia Bluen interjected, answering Orlando on Adele Horne's behalf.
"I don't want congee! Julia Bluen, are you taking advantage of my brother and parents' absence to mistreat me?" Adele Horne cried out indignantly. Her fever had started to subside, and her head wasn't as foggy anymore; her demanding personality resurfaced instantly.
