Chapter 285 - 2-

Chapter 2:The Starting Line of a Dream

Izuku began comically cleaning his ears, hoping that his hearing somehow didn't get damaged in the fight. ''I'm sorry, what did you say?''

All Might's response was to burst out laughing. ''That face never gets old!'' He chortled.

The teen didn't look as amused and remained confused. ''Passing down quirks...is that even possible?" He looked down in thought. "Then again...quirks in general have always been a mystery to begin with." He turned his gaze to his right hand. "And to add to it, there's my quirk. Yes it has some similarities to my parents, but compared to theirs its completely different.'' He clenched his hand with a hum.

His thoughts were interrupted by All Might. ''I have many secrets but there's no reason to lie about this!'' He held out his hand and let his palm glow with power in a multitude of colors as Izuku stared at it with awe.

Seeing that he has his undivided attention, the hero continued. ''This quirk has been passed on from one hero to another. Becoming stronger and stronger as it passes on." His expression became serious as his eyes shined. "But not just the power, but the responsibility passes on as well. This is the quirk I inherited! It's called:ONE FOR ALL!'' The glow on his palm intensified for a moment before dissipating as he closed his hand.

Izuku was floored, he'd never heard of a quirk that could be transferred from one person to another. And amongst many, only one question came to mind. ''But…why choose me to wield such responsibility?''

At this question, All Might just smiled and pointed at him. ''Simple, because you showed me, that when evil emerges you will be there to step up and face it. Repercussions and lack of experience be damned." His expression became approving. "That is why I chose you.''

Izuku wanted to cry, not from the praise. But because someone who is considered to be the greatest hero, entrusted him of all people a sacred secret and a massive responsibility.

All Might spoke again. ''With that, I ask you once again….will you inherit my power and the responsibility that comes with it?'' He took one step closer to him. ''Will you be the successor of ONE FOR ALL!?'' He raised his fist towards him with an expectant look.

Izuku knew this was a no brainer, All Might has just deemed him worthy to wield his power and entrusted him with his secret. So how in the heck could he not accept such an honor?

So with this thought, the teen formed a determined expression and returned the fist bump. "Let's do it." He agreed with conviction.

All Might beamed at the response. ''Excellent! Now meet me at the Dagobah Municipal Beach tomorrow at 9am. We'll start your training, so you better get some rest tonight.'' He said in a excited tone as the teen nodded in agreement before going their separate ways.

LATER-MIDORIYA RESIDENCE

Upon arriving home, he was immediately questioned by his mother who had seen the news. It took a while, but thankfully she was eventually convinced that he was alright and that the villain didn't get a single chance to even touch him.

His mother understood his dream, but urged him to let the pros handle it next time since he didn't have any real training up to this point. Of which he agreed with her and revealed to her that coincidentally, a pro had offered proper training because he saw potential.

Naturally she was shocked at first, but then congratulated and asked him who the pro was. Of course, due to the nature of the training, Izuku had explained the best he could that the pro would rather keep things between the two of them.

When asked why, he hesitated for a moment before going with the first thing that came to mind. "He didn't want anyone else to know because he's afraid that if anybody else knew, word would spread quick since he's very well known." Inko didn't see a problem with this and asked what the problem was.

Expecting this, Izuku rolled with it and mentally apologized to her for lying. "That's what I said, but then he told me if a lot of people knew. There was a great chance of villain's finding out too." His mother gasped, realizing what the pro was getting at. "And if that isn't bad enough there's also the public to consider." He winced at the thought of the world knowing about All Might's true form. "Heroes already have it tough with fighting villains, but if the public is stirred in any way, it could make things harder due to a number of reasons." Which is very true, situations on both fronts are never easy to deal with.

As Inko remained silent to process his words, he decided to end this topic soon. "So yeah, all I can tell you is that my training begins tomorrow at Dagobah Beach at 9am." He paused again, seeing her being deep in thought. "That is...if you want me to." Obviously he wants her permission, but if she didn't want to...that would be a whole other problem that he didn't want to get into.

But thankfully he didn't have to wait long as she looked up to him with a shaky smile. "And what kind of parent would that make me?" She asked in a joking tone but her worry made it hard for him to laugh so all he could do is smile a bit.

After a few more moments of mental debate, Inko looked up to him. "Are you certain he's a hero and not some villain in disguise?"

"100% sure." Izuku replied with no hesitation as he stepped closer to her as he noticed tears about to form. "Mom...if you don't want me to go, I could just-"

Inko shook her head, knowing what he was going to say. "Don't bother." She sniffed as she formed a watery smile. "You've known heroes since you were a child." Tears began to fall, making his heart ache at the sight. "And if anyone can prove a hero's identity, it's you." She mentally berated herself for crying and began wiping away her tears.

Seeing this, Izuku couldn't take it anymore and gently enveloped her in a hug. "I'm sorry for crying." She muffled onto his chest as she returned the embrace. "It just feels like your growing up too fast." She hiccuped.

He nodded as he rubbed her back. "I know." He honestly felt like crying himself, but someone needed to be strong right now so he held it in. "Nobody's forcing you to agree to it, I could always find another way to train." He gently offered, knowing that All Might could always make a way to secretly train for him.

Inko leaned back and looked up to him with an amused but tearful smile. "And let you miss an opporunity like this?" She asked in a knowing tone.

Izuku chuckled as he looked down at her. "If it makes you feel any better, if it's anything bad, I could always use a shortcut to leave." He assured with a knowing grin.

She returned the grin as she giggled knowingly. "I'm sure you will." She agreed before sighing. "I'm still worried Izuku, but we can't let a chance like this go so I'll allow it." She let her tears flow freely this time as she looked up to him with an almost pleading expression. "Just promise me to be careful and to do your best." She sniffed.

Izuku formed a thankful smile as he enveloped her in a gentle embrace that she returned with equal gusto. "I will mom." He kissed her head before rubbing her back. "I promise." He swore determinedly as she nodded against him.

LATER-MIDORIYA RESIDENCE-IZUKU'S ROOM

Izuku's thoughts were interrupted when Temmie decided to join him on the edge of his bed by settling on his lap. Causing him to smile as he gently rubbed her back. ''Life's always been interesting for me, but this takes the cake." He looked up to the ceiling with a small grin. "To be honest...I'm a bit nervous to have this much responsibility. What do you think?'' He asked before looking down on his companion.

Only to receive light snores mixed with purrs as a response as she nestled in his lap.

Izuku chuckled. ''Yeah, you're right, a hero shouldn't be hesitant about this. Thanks for listening bud.'' He then gently levitated Temmie onto her bed.

With that done he laid down, thinking about All Might's quirk and everything that came with it. ''A successor huh….?''

THE NEXT DAY-DAGOBAH BEACH

Once Izuku arrived at the beach, he immediately noticed the mountains of junk that the beach was covered with. ''What a dump.'' He joked to himself as he glanced around. Though he was right, at first glance the place would appear to be nothing but a junk yard.

He halted his observations and turned to where he felt a presence in his sensory field, to see All Might, in his real form, walking up towards him. ''Glad to see you're here early for your training!'' The pro greeted before getting a good look of the teen.

Standing at a respectable 5'7, wearing a blue tracksuit with a white stripe running down his pants. He seemed to have some muscle indicating that he has at least done some training in his spare time.

The pro's observations were interrupted when Izuku spoke. ''Not to doubt you, but why here?'' He idly watched the waves as they crashed onto some pile of garbage.

''Because were going to restore this place to its former glory, while we train your quirk as well as One For All.'' Izuku nodded to his words as the pro straightened himself. "But before that, I believe it's best to introduce ourselves." He raised a hand before the teen could interrupt him. "It's just for formalities and besides, I can trust you to keep whatever is said here to be a secret." He pointed out with a wry grin, remembering how the teen reacted to his real form.

Izuku returned the grin before gesturing him to continue. "Ok then." The pro cleared his throat. "My name is Toshinori Yagi, the 8th wielder of One For All."

"8th user." The teen couldn't help but whistle at the fact. "And with every generation passed, that explains how you got crazy strong." He noted with an expression of awe as he idly wondered what that kind of power will do to him.

Seeing that he has his attention, Toshinori continued. "You can call me that when we're alone, but I highly advise against using it in more public areas where there is no guarantee of privacy." He warned with a serious expression. "With evil at almost every corner, we can't take any risks."

''Makes sense.'' Izuku nodded in understanding, knowing full well that most villains will only need one piece of info, just to find their target.

And considering that this is the Symbol of Peace, the very reason for the many downfalls of various villain groups. He can only imagine the great lengths villains will go to acquire just his name.

Pushing away the grim thoughts, Izuku grinned as he pointed a thumb to himself. "My name is Izuku Midoriya and I'm, apparantley, going to be your successor." He shook his head with a chuckle. "Still can't believe this is happening."

Toshinori returned the chuckle. "Well best get used to it young man." The pro became serious again. ''Now Young Midoriya, I know you have a quirk but from what I've seen it isn't a normal one.'' After receiving a nod he continued ''I will change your training regime once I have a better grasp on your quirk and how well you can use it.''

Izuku nodded before taking a deep breath. ''Ok so my quirk is named:Energized Bones…''

AFTER THE EXPLANATION

By the end of it Toshinori was honestly confused. ''Weird….'' He muttered with furrowed brows. "I can understand telekinesis, but how do the bones fire lazers?"He then placed a hand on his chin, his confusion growing. "What's more, how did his parents' quirks combine into this?" The more he thought about it, the more questions he had, which further increased his confusion.

''That's what I said!'' Izuku laughed at his mentor's expression and couldn't help but be reminded of how similar the pro's reaction is to his mother.

After mentally thanking everything that this type of power never ended up in the hands of villains, Toshinori nodded. ''Alright, I believe I have a good idea on how your quirk works based on what you told me.''

The duo then began talking with each other, discussing the best way to train the teen and his quirk. As well as discussing possible strategies and fighting styles. Studies are also included because well…there's no point on having great power without having a mind to wield it.

And by the end of their discussion, the plan was intense, it wasn't going to be easy that's for sure, but Izuku knew the importance of accomplishing of what himself and All Might had set him to do.

With a big grin Toshinori turned into his buff form. ''With everything settled, let's see what you've got!'' Izuku shared his grin as he began surrounding objects around them with a green glow before levitating them.

They both shared a happy laugh knowing that these next ten months were going to be the most interesting they both had.

5 MONTHS LATER-DAGOBAH BEACH

Looking around, All Might stood astounded on how amazing the beach looked.

The water looked cleaner and the shores were clear of any signs of junk making it look like a different place. And to put the cherry on top, the beach had a clear view of the horizon, making him understand why people loved this place before the whole garbage situation started.

''Five months and this place looks practically new, his control over his own quirk is astounding. Able to create moves which differ depending on the weapon and situation." He grinned knowingly. "Then there's his deceptively casual style, which would cause almost anyone to lower their guard.'' The pro was brought out of his thoughts when Izuku walked towards him eagerly awaiting the next phase of his training.

He then went to his buff form and stood in front of the teen with pride. ''Young Midoriya, you have far exceeded my expectations. Not only have you cleared the beach in half the time but also proved to me that I chose the right successor!'' All Might stated proudly.

Izuku had a huge grin on his face, happy to have made his hero and family proud.

Speaking of family, over the course of his training, his mother had continued to support him. Aside from emotional support(which Temmie would provide as well in spades), she had diligently followed the diet plan suggested by All Might and added a few suggestions herself.

And seeing and hearing how much progress her son was making, she knew right then and there that she made the right choice in agreeing to his training. And despite the fatigue he would show when he came home from working hard, she couldn't be any prouder.

Izuku's thoughts were interrupted when All Might plucked one of the hairs from his head. ''Take this to heart Izuku." He held the hair in front of him. "Something that you receive because you're lucky and something that you are given because you are recognized are different in essence. This is power that you earned because of your own effort.''

The teen was at awe with what he said before looking at his strong hands with a smile. This is it, after all the blood and sweat it took to get here, the moment has finally arrived. to-

''Eat This''

Izuku snapped his head up in shock, seeing his mentor holding the hair closer to him. ''Huh?'' He really hoped he misheard him.

All Might boomed in laughter as he remembered having the same reaction. ''You need to eat this so that you gain my DNA for you to use One For All.'' He then held out a water bottle with his other hand. "Take it with water, it makes it easier." He said in a experienced tone.

''I knew being a hero would mean getting in hairy situations, but this is ridiculous.'' Izuku chuckled awkwardly as he took the hair and water bottle. "Do I really have to eat it?" He eyed the items with a hesitant expression.

All Might grinned knowingly. ''Sometimes the real thing is much more of a let down then most people think." The teen grimaced but unscrewed the water bottle cap regardless. "In case you were wondering, the power can't be taken from you unless you allow it.'' The pro added as the teen placed the hair in his mouth before downing it with water.

After gulping everything down, Izuku wiped his mouth with a shiver. ''Heh, that's a relief." He closed the now empty water bottle before looking at himself in confusion. ''I don't feel any different.'' He commented as he made a bone projectile the air, noting that it didn't look any different.

All Might inwardly chuckled. ''Of course not! It needs time to be digested." The teen made an 'oh' face before nodding in understanding as he despawned the bone."Now then Young Midoriya, we need to start combat training.''

Izuku was taken aback by this. ''Wait what?" He tilted his head in confusion. "Isn't it dangerous to use One For All here without getting a grasp on it first?" Even if the place is clear now, he doubted it would safe to go wild since people don't live too far from here.

The pro calmly waved off his question. ''Not to worry Young Midoriya, allow me to clarify, I meant a combat simulation.''

''Oh.'' Izuku looked more relieved. ''But where do we go?'' He doubted there would simulators just laying around the city.

With a big grin, All Might answered. ''I'm glad you asked, we're going to a training ground within U.A. campus.''

Izuku went wide eyed and could've sworn his jaw fell on the floor at the concept of him being trained at U.A. The top hero school of all Japan, the same place where his idol and many great heroes learned to become who they are today.

It all sounded like a dream come true, but he couldn't help but feel as though this was unfair as Izuku looked uncertain. ''Is this even allowed?" His mentor gave him a questioning look. "I mean...wouldn't it be seen as favoritism towards me, since it might give me an unfair advantage over others?" He winced at the thought of causing unnecessary drama over this.

All Might stared at the teen for a moment before a proud smile made its way to his face ''You still think of others, even when you're given a chance most would take without hesitation." His point caused the teen to shrug with a sheepish grin, not seeing any point in denying it.

''But worry not Young Midoriya, the reason why I'm suggesting this is because since you wield One For All. You will need a secure place where you can test your powers without causing unwanted damage and unwanted exposure.'' The hero firmly stated.

Izuku understood what he meant, U.A. is well known for their security and well equipped training areas. Making the perfect place to train in secret and not have to worry about hurting anyone. ''Welp, better get started then.'' He agreed as All Might beamed down at him.

U.A. GROUNDS-UNDERGROUND TRAINING FACILITY

After exiting the elevator to the training grounds, they were greeted by two figures that made Izuku stop in his tracks. It was Recovery Girl and Principal Nezu. ''Dang, I should have brought my notebook!'' He mentally scolded himself for missing an opportunity to receive autographs from other heroes.

He was brought out of his thoughts when the principal spoke. ''Ah Toshinori." He nodded to the man before looking at Izuku. "And this must be the successor you've been telling me about.''

In his real form, Toshinori placed a hand on the teen's shoulder. ''Yes, allow me to introduce Midoriya Izuku.''

Masking his excitement, as well as he could, Izuku approached the two and held out his hand to the principal with a smile ''I-it's nice to meet you sir.'' He stuttered a bit, earning a soft laugh from Toshinori and a giggle from Recovery Girl.

As he shook his hand, the principal stared at the teen's eyes. ''Hmmm, he has that spirit in his eyes, I can see why you were chosen.'' He thought to himself before releasing the hand with a smile. ''The pleasure is mine Midoriya." He gestured to the area. "Please, use the training grounds as you see fit." He encouraged with a light bow before leaving the teen with the two pros.

With Nezu inside the elevator, Toshinori and Recovery Girl began leading Izuku to the training grounds. "Right this way dearie, we'll start things to slow first to get you adjusted to your surroundings." The heroine stated earning a nod from the ten as he followed.

But as they walked, Izuku couldn't help but be awed of the place. Weights, Training dummies and more than enough space to allow movement. "Pretty neat setup here." He whistled as he noted the high ceiling and how well illuminated the place is. "Heh, kind of reminds me of a place from a video gam-" He paused as he suddenly stopped in his tracks before looking down at himself with surprise and confusion.

Toshinori and Recovery Girl saw this and immediately rushed to his side ''My boy what's wrong?'' He asked in concern as the heroine was about to take a closer look at the teen.

Only for their expressions to be replaced with awe at what they're seeing.

Izuku's eyes began glowing bright as green sparks emanated from him. "W-Woah." He took a step back in shock before staring at his hands in awe. "I guess OFA finally became a part of me." He mused out loud, still recovering from the sudden rush of energy within him.

''How do you feel Young Midoriya?'' Toshinori immediately asked while Recovery Girl just shook her head at the man's obvious excitement.

After shaking off the initial shock, Midoriya looked at them with a grin ''I feel powered up." He bluntly stated as he took a breath, trying to calm his sparks down. "It's like all my stats are boosted." He allowed himself to relax a bit as the amount of sparks from him lessened. "Energy and Stamina included, if that makes any sense." He added.

Toshinori stared at him with a knowing expression as he gestured to the training dummies. ''Well why don't we test it out then?'' Both adults chuckled as Izuku nodded excitedly. ''Step into the middle and hit this dummy while channeling One For All, keep in mind that there will be some knock back so be careful.'' He warned, of which the teen took to heart.

Toshinori and Recovery Girl then went to the side while Izuku stood in front of the dummy before closing his eyes he imagined his power flowing, the same way how he would channel his energy through his melee weapons and Gaster Blasters.

After a moment, sparks began emanating from him as he opened his eyes with an intense glow to them. "Here we go." He steeled himself as he reared his right fist back with a deep breathe as the pros stared at him in fascination and anticipation. "Take this!" He threw his fist forward with a yell.

The result was the dummy caving in on itself before whatever's left was sent flying to the wall on other side of the area with a loud impact that shook the area a bit. "I did it!" Izuku whooped as he raised both hands in the air while the adults were awed with the young hero's control and the results.

However, the teen's victory was short lived when he felt pain shooting up his right hand. "GAH!" He fell to his knees and clutched his now noticeably damaged right hand. "W-What the-!?" He cut himself off with a hiss as he felt his wrist throb too.

Both pros ran to him, assessing the damage. "Oh dear." Recovery Girl gasped a little before suddenly kissing the injury, much to the teen's shock and pain.

But before any any complaints were voiced, Izuku's injured hand was covered in a glow before looking good as new. "Huh?" He looked at his restored hand in confused shock before realization dawned to him. "Oh right...her quirk allows people to heal faster at the cost of the injured's stamina." He idly flexed his hand, glad that there isn't any remaining pain in it. "And I guess I'm not experiencing the expected fatigue from her quirk because of the stat boosts."

Ignoring the teen's fascination, Recovery Girl carefully eyed his form. ''Interesting, your original quirk helped keep your bones intact." Her gaze moved to the light marks on his hand, causing her to frown. "But from the looks of it, the same can't be said for your skin and muscles.''

''Well...I suppose it's better than risk breaking your bones everytime." Toshinori pointed out with some optimism before looking serious. "But in all seriousness, we need to focus on your control and energy output to lessen the risk of injury." Recovery Girl voiced similar thoughts, suggesting that they should also focus on his body adjusting to the quirk's power.

Izuku nodded to the their advice. "No complaints here." He shrugged before chuckling. ''Dunno about you two, but I'd rather not be renamed as Bruised Wayne anytime soon.'' Toshinori laughed heartily while Recovery Girl just shook her head in fond exasperation, knowing that she was going to be busy treating similar injuries in the future.

And with that, Izuku began his last months of training before the UA exams.

5 MONTHS LATER-1 DAY BEFORE THE U.A. EXAMS-MIDORIYA RESIDENCE-EVENING

Under the instructions of his mentor, Izuku spent the day resting as to not risk having a burn out during the exam day. And as much as the teen wanted to train more, Recovery Girl convinced him otherwise via walking cane to the head.

Needless to say, the negotiations were short.

His train of thought was interrupted when he saw his mother making dinner. Appearance wise she hasn't changed much, thanks to him developing a quirk, she was spared from years of stress eating thus maintaining a good figure over the years.

And as he sat quietly, he couldn't help but think about the amount of progress he made these past 10 months with All Might, especially with the recent months within U.A.'s underground training facility.

Thanks to experience with how his original quirk works and the added power of OFA, it allowed him to go further. Creating moves which would aid him in various situations where he may need to knock out, restrain, surprise, rescue certain individuals or finish fights quickly.

It also helped that, apart from being a nerd, he loved video games and anime. Allowing him to become more creative with his quirk use. Especially if he wanted to go from deceptively casual in one moment before becoming overwhelming in the next.

In terms of appearance, Izuku gained a fair amount of muscle but thanks to his outfit choices, which mostly consisted of hoodies and loose pants, it went unnoticed unless you really pay attention, which suited him just fine.

He also grew a bit, standing at a height of 5'9 now.

And after plenty of hard work, he was able to regulate the usage of OFA now. Thus lessening the risk of severe self-damage, allowing his body to adjust to his abilities in a much steadier pace.

For fighting styles he had offensive, defensive and surprise tactics to use.

At one point All Might had asked him why one of his styles consisted of him staying in one spot. To which the teen answered in a simple way: ''If they think that I'd just stand there and take it. Then I can catch them off guard when I actually move.'' His mentor pointed out that such tactics could put him in a dangerous spot, but also saw the logic in it so they made room to train the technique.

''Your muttering again.'' His mother gently tapped him on the head, startling him a bit and making him look sheepish while she just giggled at his antics while on his lap, Temmie mewled happily.

Both would be a constant in his life, always going out of their way to support and cheer him up whenever he felt down.

They then talked about random topics for a while, until it was eventually time to head to bed. ''Thanks for the dinner mom.'' Izuku thanked as he levitated the dishes to the kitchen, before making his way to his room with Temmie following him while his mother wished him a good night before washing the dishes.

IZUKU'S ROOM

As he reached his room, he spent the majority of the night writing on his notebook. Where he wrote his quirk analysis, ideas on tactics and possible attacks with his quirk. Once satisfied he closed his notebook and placed in onto his desk. "That should do for now." He stood up and stretched with a yawn.

Temmie mewled from her spot on his bed, causing him to glance at her with a smile. "Don't worry, I'm just about to sleep now." He chuckled as he got close to gently scratch behind her ears, eliciting a purr from her. "Thanks for looking out for me bud." She mewled in response as she leaned against his touch.

After one last pet he levitated her to her bed where she curled up and got comfortable as he laid on his own bed. "Good night Tem." He yawned as she let out a quiet mewl before sleeping.

''Tomorrow's the day…'' The teen smiled at the thought as he turned off the light next to him before getting comfy under his blankets as he slipped into dreamland.

THE NEXT DAY-U.A. GROUNDS

After giving his mother and Temmie a heartfelt goodbye, he arrived at the U.A. entrance wearing the standard school uniform.

"Welp, here we are again." Izuku muttered as he marveled at the sight before him. Even if he spent a few months earlier training here, he still couldn't help but feel impressed. Looking around he could see possible future heroes making their way to the building.

''Out of the way Deku!''

Turning around he saw Bakugou making his way to him with a scowl on his face while Izuku just grinned. ''Bone-jour sunshine!'' He greeted with a chuckle.

While still scowling, the explosive teen just grunted and kept making his way to the building while Izuku watched him go with a chuckle as he remembered how things changed between them.

FLASHBACK

Ever since the revelation of Izuku's quirk, the explosive teen had simmered down within the year and actually managed to have conversations with the OFA user while maintaining his usual Bakugou self.

And if that isn't enough, the blond had apologized to him. Sure it was a rough apology but Izuku accepted it and waved off everything the explosive teen did, much to the shock of Bakugou.

When asked why he had easily accepted the apology, Izuku just said: "It's true that you've been, to put it lightly, a jerk through the years. But hey, what's done is done and holding grudges isn't a heroic thing to do. And besides, I've used my quirk plenty of times to avoid the worst of it. So...apart from the usual verbal stuff, you haven't really hurt me apart from that one time when we were kids."

After saying all that, Bakugou just stared at him in stunned silence, completely thrown off from how calm Izuku was. But after a while, the blond recomposed himself and nodded before leaving in silent thought as the OFA user watched him go before leaving with a small smile on his face.

PRESENT-U.A. GROUNDS-ENTRANCE

''Who knew one calm conversation can get through him.''Izuku thought as he made his way to the building before something caught his eye.

Glancing at the left he saw a girl with short brown hair making her way to the building rather excitedly. He would have just kept going until he noticed that she was on a collision to an uneven part of the road.

And as predicted, she ended tripping with a gasp before closing her eyes in anticipation. While on instinct, Izuku extended his left hand, covering the girl in a green glow and stopped her from falling.

Noticing that she had stopped, she opened her eyes and looked around at the ground in confusion. ''Huh?" She tried to move but failed and it was then that she noticed her place above the ground. "What's going on?" She squirmed in place before realization dawned onto her. "Did I use my quirk on myself!?'' She said in mild panic before she touched her finger tips together, her confusion growing when she remained in place.

''Nope.''

Turning her head she saw Izuku next to her with a grin. "That was close." With his glowing left hand, he carefully placed her on her feet. ''Would have been bad luck if you fell.'' He then wore a friendly smile, a gesture she gladly returned while steadying herself.

The girl nodded in agreement. ''Thanks for the save!'' She extended her hand. ''My name is Uraraka Ochako, its nice to meet you!'' She greeted cheerfully as she used her free hand to fix her outfit.

Izuku chuckled at her energy and shook her hand. ''Midoriya Izuku, nice to meet you too.''

With that the two went into the building together while talking about how excited they are to become heroes. Once inside they were told to do a written exam that Izuku was prepared for.

U.A. GROUNDS-CITY SIMULATION EXAM GROUNDS

Finally came the moment that others were either waiting or dreading to happen.

Once inside, Izuku was taken aback by the sheer size of the test area which was a literal city. "Dang, this place is bigger than the training grounds." He gave a low whistle at how even the buildings have fine details inside them.

Currently he was clad in a white T-shirt topped with a blue hooded jacket, baggy black pants, and gray running shoes. [Author's Note: Don't worry, I have a costume idea already, this is just a debut one XD.] The point of this outfit was to make others believe that he wasn't worth drawing attention to. Though he plans to get new clothes with better material from the support course in the school.

As Izuku was thinking of strategies he saw Uraraka taking deep breathes trying to calm herself down.

With a smile he slowly made his way to the girl, only to be stopped by an arm. ''Excuse me green haired boy!'' Following the arm, Izuku was met with a sight of a tall teen with glasses who staring at him with a stern expression.

He then noticed the mufflers on his legs, giving him the idea that it must be a type of speed quirk. ''What's up?'' Izuku calmly asked asked as the glasses guy lowered his arm.

Glancing at Uraraka the tall teen spoke. ''That girl appears to be concentrating, are you trying to distract her?'' He said in an accusatory tone as he pointed at him.

Izuku merely raised an eyebrow before chuckling lightly with a wave of a hand, surprising the tall teen. ''No no, you've got things mixed up." He grinned. "You see, we met each other at the entrance today. And actually got along well, so I wanted to be a good friend and help her calm down.''

With that the teen with glasses looked shocked before guilt began to appear on his face before doing something…interesting.

Which is bowing in a perfect 90 degree angle. ''I wish to apologize to you for falsely accusing you! Clearly your just being a good friend!'' He shouted before waiting for a response…

Unfortunately Izuku began laughing, shocking the tall teen and hurting his feelings a little bit.

After calming down he waved his hand. ''It's fine, just calm down.'' His assurance calmed the tall teen.

Izuku then smiled and stuck out his hand. ''Lets try this again, my name is Izuku Midoriya, what's yours?''

The taller teen smiled as he grabbed his hand. ''My name is Tenya Iida, it's a pleasure to meet you!'' He greeted with a firm shake.

Izuku nodded before gesturing his thumb towards Ochako with a smile. ''I'll just help my friend calm her nerves.'' He released his hand and turned around, but not before looking back with a grin. ''Oh right, good luck Iida, I hope to see you in the hero course!''

Iida smiled and bowed in a perfect angle again towards Izuku. ''And I wish the same to you Midoriya!''

The green haired teen waved with a chuckle before making his way to Ochako to tap her on the shoulder. "Sup."

After jolting in surprise, she turned around and smiled. ''Glad to see you here too Izuku!"

He shrugged with a smile and nodded. ''Yep, pretty small world huh?'' She agreed with a giggle. ''I just came here to wish you good luck is all.''

That seemed to make Ochako smile brightly as she took a deep breath ''Thanks, good luck to you too!'' She said while giving him a thumbs up.

Izuku winked before he made his way to the front of the crowd, but as he drew closer to the entrance, he was getting strange looks from the examinees as they began whispering to eachother. Thankfully he was close enough to hear some of their comments.

''The hell? What's a civilian doing here?''

''Does he think were going on a field trip or something?''

''Probably a non-combat quirk.''

''He looks pretty plain.''

''Why's the dude so relaxed? Doesn't he realise how serious this test is?"

While feigning ignorance to their comments, Izuku was internally ecstatic as these are the kind of reactions he wanted when people saw him.

With that he took a deep breathe before putting on his hood and placing his hands in the pockets of his hoodie. And if anyone looked closely, they would see his eyes glowing within the hood.

The crowd's attention was then focused on Present Mic who spoke through the PA system at the top of his lungs. ''START!''

With the crowd distracted, Izuku wasted no time and teleported away before anyone could notice.
