Chapter 262 - 2

"Hot damn, that kid is fast…"

ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

Toshinori Yagi, better known as All Might, watched from a small distance as the form of XLR8 sped across the trash covered beach, sending sand and trash flying in his wake. Multiple trash bags plopped into existence with every other lap, with a stretch of white sand clearing before his eyes. With the speedster couldn't do much about the heavier items laying on the beach, the smaller stuff was easily nabbed by the alien's claws.

Meanwhile, Toshinori had borrowed a speedometer from a friend in the force and had clocked Midoriya going very nearly 800 mph! It was possible he could go faster on different terrain, but it was still an impressive sight. He wasn't even sure if he could catch him at top speed! Maybe in his hayday, but these days? Maybe not.

The blue blur finally skidded to a stop, revealing the blue and black velociraptor-like alien, with a helmet-like head with a movable face covering. He also had a long thick tail for balance with large balls on the bottom of his feet, allowing him to reach such incredible speeds. Red light blared as the Omnitrix timed out.

"So why are we out here again?" Midoriya asked, now human.

"I thought you knew. We're training of course, we gotta get you used to your alien forms so you can use them safely." Toshinori replied.

"No, I mean, yeah I know that" Midoriya clarified. "But what I mean is, why here?"

"Ah, you mean this trash covered beach, which probably has all kinds of tetanus and other diseases we don't yet know about?"

Midoriya scratched the back of his head. "Well, yeah."

"Allow me to explain." All Might pulled out his smart phone showing the boy a picture. "Do you know where this is?" Midoriya looked closer, it was an old picture of a glittering beach. He shook his head no.

"Would you believe me if I told you that this picture is of this beach?"

"What?" Midoriya looked at the picture again, then out to the beach. Sure they were similar, but the same? "What happened?"

"Time" the older man answered. "Time and carelessness. Care to guess?"

Midoriya looked out at the trash-filled beach. As XLR8, he found trash along the entirety of the sandline, some looking like it came from the ocean itself. Others were dropped haphazardly over the wall bordering the beach from the other side. So, if he were to guess…

"I suppose a lot of it came from the ocean currents. Trash floated in from all over and ended up here. And people saw the apparent trash dump, so they dumped their own trash here instead of taking care of it properly." As he spoke, All Might buffed up behind him, filling out his loose clothing.

"CORRECT YOUNG MIDORIYA! FULL MARKS!" Midoriya jumped at the change, still not used to the Number One Hero. "AS FOR WHY YOU'RE HERE, YOU MENTIONED TO ME THAT YOU WANTED TO BE A HERO RIGHT?"

"R-Right!" Midoriya confirmed.

"WHERE DID YOU WANT TO STUDY?"

"Well," he said hesitantly. "UA. It seemed like a pipe dream before, but with my quirk, it just seems so much more real! Plus, it's where you went!"

"HA! YOUR FANBOY IS SHOWING THERE, YOUNG MIDORIYA!" All Might laughed. "HOWEVER, UA IS CONSIDERED TO BE THE TOP HERO PROGRAM. ONLY THE BEST OF THE BEST STUDY THERE. YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS?"

Midoriya suddenly looked down. "I...guess I should lower my expectations huh…"

"..."

"...what?"

"...c'mere."

Midoriya moved closer, only for All Might to smack his head!

"OWW! What was that for?"

"LOWER YOUR EXPECTATIONS? NONSENSE! I WAS GOING TO SAY, 'WORK HARD', NOT GIVE UP!"

"So... you think I can do it?"

"OF COURSE! BUT YOU'LL NEED TO GO BEYOND IN ORDER TO QUALIFY! WHICH IS THE SECOND REASON WE'RE GOING TO BE TRAINING!"

Midoriya couldn't believe his ears! "So, this was the plan all along?"

"YES! WELL, I CAN'T TAKE ALL THE CREDIT. YOUR MOTHER WAS VERY CONVINCING! SO, ARE YOU IN?"

Was he in? Was he in?

"YES SIR!"

"EXCELLENT! NOW THEN, LET'S-"

"I do have a question!"

"WHAT'S THAT?"

"Why me?" Midoriya asked honestly. "You could train anyone, why me?"

All Might thought he might ask this. "TO BE HONEST, IT'S A BIT OF A THANK YOU!" Midoriya was confused, so he elaborated. "THAT DAY, WHEN YOU SAVED YOUR FRIEND, YOU INSPIRED ME TO ACT, TO BE THE HERO I STRIVE TO BE EVERY DAY. ALSO, YOU'RE KEEPING MY SECRET, WHICH I'M VERY GRATEFUL FOR. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY," he pointed down at the boy. "YOU HAVE POTENTIAL! FAIR ENOUGH?"

Midoriya grinned. "Fair enough!"

xXx

Riiiiiiiiiing!

"Alright, time to begin class" drawled their homeroom teacher. The middle school class was full of students with various quirks, including a rock headed boy, a guy who could extend his neck, elongating fingers, etc. And out of everyone in this classroom, only one of them was completely quirkless.

Until now.

"But first, I believe Midoriya has an announcement to make!" their teacher said, beckoning the green haired boy. Most of the class snickered at the nervous runt, no quirk meant no power after all. Bakugo stayed silent, choosing to ignore what was coming.

"H-h-hey everyone…I…I just wanted to s-say…um…"

"Spit it out dork!" one kid yelled, earning some laughs at his expense. Midoriya mustered up his courage and spoke quickly.

"Ihaveaquirk!"

"What Midoriya?" one girl asked. Izuku took a breath and tried again.

"I-I have a quirk now. As of the other day, after that villain attack." Bakugo tensed at the mention of the Slime Incident. Now the class was intrigued!

"What? No way!"

"Pff, he's lying! You don't manifest quirks at 14!"

"He's more delusional than I thought!"

Midoriya was starting to panic. "Guys…I'm not…wait!" He turned to his teacher. "Can I…can I show them?"

Mr. Knox tapped his chin, then waved to him. He had the ok. Nodding, Midoriya started fiddling with his watch. The core popped up, displaying his aliens. He turned it a few times, finding the right one.

"Eh? What's he doing now?" Rockhead wondered aloud. Midoriya landed on his selection and pushed the core down.

FLASH!

Instantly, black goo spread across his body, forming green circuitry all over his new form. His face disappeared behind a cyclopic green ring for an eye as every cell of his body transformed. The grey badge of the Omnitrix appeared on his blackened chest as he reformed. One green flash later…

"WHAAAAT?" the class practically screamed. Even Bakugo stared at Deku's new form. The Galvanic Mechamorph had a large blob-like body with large hands and stump feet, with green circuits all over his body. When he spoke, it was Midoriya's voice but synthesized, like a radio, with a deeper hum behind it.

"So yeah. This is my quirk, heh," Upgrade held the back of his head nervously, but the class practically exploded.

"That's amazing!"

"You can transform like me!"

"Can you turn into anything else?"

Midoriya started to panic again but started to calm down before long. Someone asked him what he could do, so he walked over to the classroom's vacuum cleaner. Their curiosity built as Upgrade's body melted into the machine, turning it black and green as he merged with the technology. The Upgrade/Vacuum started driving around the room, vacuuming like never before! The floor was spotless in seconds!

"All right settle down! Settle down!" Mr. Knox stopped the vacuum and called for silence. "Midoriya, I know you're excited, but please change back now. It's time to continue with the day." He leaned forward as Upgrade separated from the machine, whispering. "But if you could do that to the staff room, that would be terrific! But go sit down." Upgrade nodded before tapping the Omnitrix, which flashed red to change him back. Mr. Knox kept their attention the best he could, but honestly? This was the coolest quirk they had ever seen!

Much to one student's ire.

xXx

Two months later…

"Izuku!" Inko called from the kitchen, setting down an omelette. "Breakfast!"

A couple moments passed, but no Midoriya. "Izuku?" she called again. "ACK!"

A pale white ghost flew through the door and into the chair, almost scaring the food from Inko's hands! The Ectonurite tapped the Omnitrix to turn back to human.

"Honestly sweetie," Inko lightly chided as she prepared her own breakfast. "I know your quirk is still new, but you don't need to transform for everything."

"I know, but I need practice!" Midoriya argued as he quickly ate. "Everyone else at UA had their whole lives to figure out their quirks and I got eight months!"

This was true. Most people use their quirks as an extension of themselves in their everyday lives, as they are just so ingrained to their being. For Inko, using Attraction is as easy as breathing or blinking.

"We've talked about this Izuku." Inko explained. "I'm sure you'll do just fine, and you take time to train regularly with Toshinori anyway. Also," she shivered a bit. "that ghost one is a little spooky."

"Yeah, Ghostfreak feels weird too." Midoriya admitted. Despite being such a useful transformation, the Ectonurite form always gave him the willys. Not at all like the others. "But that's why I need practice! To get used to using my quirk!"

After the Midoriya's did a little quirk discovery, they were able to speak with a quirk specialist to get an idea on how his quirk worked and what to name it. As far as they could tell, his quirk, dubbed 'Alien Genetics', was solely activated by the mutation on his wrist. The energy that his transformations gave couldn't be measured or identified, but were present when Midoriya transformed. Transformations were also near instantaneous, occurring in 0.8 seconds flat regardless of the form he chose.

The hypothesis was this: Midoriya's quirk allowed him to rapidly mutate his body to allow for a variety of powers, but was so full of genetic possibilities it couldn't be controlled. Therefore, his body locked his own quirk away to protect itself from genetic damage. However, the body developed a physical trigger to both control and regulate his genetics to keep his transformations stable, then was forced to activate during a life-or-death crisis. Hence, the watch-like mutation.

That was the theory anyway.

"Well, you'd better get to school now. You're running late!" Inko took his empty dish as Izuku bounded out the door. She called after his back, "And no XLR8 this time!"

"OK! Love you!" he answered. "One time, it happened one time!" he muttered on his way to Aldera, breaking into a light jog. He checked his watch.

"Weeeell...ok, two times!" He dialed up his fastest transformation. And one flash of green later…

"Stinkfly?" The large wasp-like creature exclaimed, looking at his thin yellow wings with his moving stalk-eyes. "Ugh, fine. Second-fastest!" With that, he took off, his large wings beating like a hummingbird as he made his way towards his Middle School. Stinkfly was not his stealthiest alien, but he did the job. As cool as all of his powers are, he'll never get used to the thrill of flying, even if his best flier stank like a sewer. He ducked behind a dumpster before changing back.

"Yes! Two minutes to spare!" He kept jogging, reaching Aldera in only 3 minutes.

Now that he had a quirk, people's opinion of him gradually changed. People were nicer, or at least just left him alone. No one tried to trip him during lunch or talked behind his back. Others still remembered his quirklessness and didn't change a thing. Not that it mattered too much to the wielder of the Omnitrix. If people were being nice now, it was only because of his quirk. Didn't mean a thing.

But at least the teachers called on him now.

"That's correct Midoriya, you're on a roll!" Their homeroom teacher complimented. Although at first it was for his quirk, his classmates started to gain respect for Midoriya, for his intelligence and his kind demeanor. Though all the shit he had put up with, Midoriya was really a genuinely nice guy, and people were starting to recognize that. Not everyone felt that way though.

'Shitty Deku.' Bakugo silently seethed at Midoriya, who was calmly taking notes behind him. 'Thinks he's hot shit with his new quirk. It's not even impressive, so he can turn into a collection of freaks. Big fuckin' deal.'

"Now enjoy the long weekend everyone!" Their teacher wrapped up as the bell rang. "Stay out of trouble!"

Midoriya was finishing his notes, both from class and for his Alien Journal. The journal was a handwritten catalog of every transformation he had. Though it was only ten different forms, he learned something new about each one every day! He was updating Stinkfly's page when a hand came down on his desk. Hard.

"Deku." Katsuki growled.

"Kachaan?" Midoriya replied.

Bakugo was torn. He would never, ever, recognize any strength Deku has. Not a chance in hell. But being saved by Deku and his quirk still stung, and apparently, he had more forms than that! Not that he had seen any that is, other than that techno-blob. The blond had a show of being indifferent, but inwardly? Midoriya could be all kinds of powerful and he would never know.

"You know that nature hike a few blocks west of here?"

Midoriya's eyes widened before nodding.

"Good. Be there. Be ready." The tense boy left without another word.

"Wait, Kachaan? Kachaan!" Midoriya called after him, but he was already out. Now it was Midoriya's turn to be torn. He had been meeting All Might 6 days a week to train his alien forms and get stronger overall. And he had to meet him after school too, but here came Kachaan with this out of the blue request. Or order. Whatever.

"I'm...I'm sure All Might will understand" he reasoned, pulling out his phone.

xXx

"Wow! You're amazing Kachaan!" a four-year-old Izuku exclaimed as the two hiked. "When I get my quirk, I'll bet it will be just as cool!"

"Ha!" The younger Katsuki laughed. "Whatever Deku, no matter what kind of power you have, you'll never be able to beat me!"

Present day...on the hiking trail…

"Bastard better show up…" Bakugo muttered. He checked and double checked, no one was around to see or report anything. Particularly unlicensed quirk-use.

His usual lackeys offered to come with but were refused with a middle finger. If the dumbass is actually powerful, he needs to know before anyone else sees.

Not that he'd lose to a pebble like Deku.

His fingers twitched in anticipation as explosive sweat collected in his palms. Despite his confidence, he was mentally preparing for what was coming. The shithead has apparently ten different choices of quirks to pick, but can only choose one at a time. He knew about the dog one, but anything else is a mystery.

He shook his head, remembering his confidence. Whatever one he chooses will be the one he crushes.

"Kachaan?"

Bakugo turned, eyeing his former friend. Midoriya walking up with concern written on his face. It was infuriating!

"So, you showed up."

"Y-you asked me to. Is there something wrong?" he asked carefully. Bakugo seemed to sigh before speaking.

"Your quirk. People seem to think it's powerful or something. I wouldn't care otherwise, but that pip in your step is pissing me off."

Katsuki raised a hand, letting large sparks pop in his fist.

"We're fighting. Right here, right now."

Midoriya was flabbergasted. "W-w-w-what? But...we can't! You can't! We're-"

"We're far enough out that no one will see us, dipshit. Besides," a feral grin crawled across his face. "You've got power now. And I want to see it for myself!"

Midoriya suddenly regretted changing his afternoon plans. "I...uh...actually, I just remembered! I gotta pick up some...uh, milk! Yeah, milk! Mom asked me to so, I'll see you-"

BOOOOOOOOM

Bakugo was in Midoriya's face in an instant, putting an explosion right in his chest! Midoriya went rolling as Bakugo readied another attack, popping up the Omnitrix core as he tumbled.

"If you don't wanna die, then fight back! Don't wuss out like the Deku you are, dammit!" he yelled. Before he could strike again, green light blared around the smaller boy, blinding him! He shook off the light, sending another explosion where Midoriya was downed.

But instead of Midoriya, he was face to face with a red, muscular, four-armed giant! The alien shrugged off the attack as he stood up, reaching 10 feet in height. A black shirt with white lining covered the creature's chest while also wearing green shorts, with the Omnitrix on his shoulder.

"You wanted to see my power?" the Tetramand asked, flexing his new limbs. "Then meet Fourarms!" The alien clapped, causing a small shockwave to push the boy back. Bakugo landed 15 feet away, rolling as he fell. Recovering from his shock, Bakugo used his explosion to blast himself forward, firing twin explosions into the Tetramands stomach!

"NOW we're talking!" he yelled with excitement. Not stopping to let him think, he jumped up, blasting Midoriya in the face for good measure before flying away again.

Fourarms did not seem nearly as excited. The explosions stung a little, but the transformed Midoriya barely reacted to any of the attacks! He simply wiped the dirt from his face as his four eyes blinked it out.

"Kachaan, please." Midoriya tried to reason, raising two of his arms in a placating manner. Now that he had his defenses up, he tried to reason with the bully. "We don't have to fight, I don't want to hurt you!"

"LIKE YOU COULD, BASTARD!" Katsuki roared, coming for another attack. But Midoriya was ready this time. As Bakugo rocketed forward again, one arm caught an explosion in Bakugo's hand, gripping just tight enough to hold him. The quirked human tried again with his other hand, but the alien caught that one as well. Bakugo writhed and struggled but couldn't get free! Any explosions he made just bounced off harmlessly again Fourarm's hands and his strength could only be beaten by All Might! (Midoriya would know)

"Listen, I don't want to fight you! I don't even hate you! Just stop already!" Midoriya pleaded.

"WILL YOU SHUT UP ALREADY? FIGHT ME!" Before Midoriya knew it, Bakugo flipped his legs up, kicking him in the face! Out of shock more than anything, Midoriya let go, letting Bakugo free from his grip. The more he fought, the more explosive sweat built up for Bakugo's explosions. So when the next round of explosions peppered the giant's red skin, they actually started to hurt!

"Ow! Will you knock it off already?" Midoriya asked, getting a bit frustrated. He was about 4 minutes in, with 6 minutes before he changed back. He needed to at least end the fight before then. Another explosion rang his bell, causing him to flinch back. Noticing the flinch, Bakugo hammered away, firing explosion after explosion into the alien's guard. Green eyes narrowed on Bakugo's angry form. "I said…" A red arm grabbed the boy's shirt! "ENOUGH!"

With enough strength to give a raging bull pause, the Tetramand flung Bakugo into the forest! Thinking quickly, he used his explosions to slow his descent, but landed in the woods with a resounding crash.

"KACHAAN!" Midoriya yelled with fear. "I'M SO SO SORRY! ARE YOU ALRIGHT?" Without a second thought, he used his strength to bound towards his opponent, scared to death he was hurt. After a few jumps, he found Katsuki in a heap, with the ground around him charred from his effort to slow his fall.

"Kachaan! Can you hear me? Kachaan!" Gently, he tapped Bakugo's shoulder. With no response, he checked his pulse.

"OK, he's breathing. Just out like a light." Still in alien form, he picked up his friend and laid him on his shoulder. "Don't worry, I'll get us home."

The ground cracked as he jumped his way back to the start of the trail, leaving 5 inch footprints for every landing. They soon made it to their neighborhood. "Just a little longer, Kachaan. Hang tight while I-"

Beep beep bop boooow…

Red light flooded Midoriya's vision as Bakugo suddenly became waaaay heavier than before. "Oh crap…" Both boys tumbled down on the sidewalk, with Bakugo still unconscious.

"Sigh...this is gonna be a long walk home…"

xXx

"THANK YOU, OFFICERS! I SHALL BE ON MY WAY NOW, THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPOOOOORRRT!" All Might yelled as he made his heroic exit. Those carjackers never saw him coming.

Due to Midoriya cancelling last-minute, he suddenly had some time freed up. So, Toshinori decided to do some patrols, stopping criminals and just overall making his presence known to the area. Deterrence is half the battle after all.

Midoriya's training with All Might was going well, almost too well! After exploring the upper limits of some of his forms, Toshinori had decided to do some sparring with some of his stronger, tougher transformations. While none could actually beat him in a straight fight, that red one the other day sure packed a punch! Others transformations relied heavily on speed or technique to fight, even one being only 5 inches tall seemed to be a scientific genius! He could also cover impressive ground in any environment, even underwater.

By quirk alone, Midoriya was capable of handling any situation a hero could come across! He just needed the training and guidance to make it happen. As for One-for-All...he wasn't sure yet. The boy didn't seem to need it and could do just fine without the added power. Plus, Alien Genetics seems like a complicated power that could be even more complicated with the overwhelming power of his own quirk. He needs more time to-

"A phone call is here! A phone call is here! A phone call is-"

"Speak of the devil," He clicked open his phone midair. "Midoriya, my boy! How are you-wait what? Are you alright? ...I see, then I'm on my way! Hang tight!"

xXx

A couple hours later…

"...mmrrrggh...stupid...shutitggg...fuckin…" Bakugo's eyes shot open!

"DEKUUUUUU!" he howled. He was in his room! In bed? He moved to stand but stopped. "OW! What the fuck…" He lifted his shirt up, exposing a large purple bruise across his shoulder and chest.

"Damn...that nerd...did that? To me?" He stood up, carefully this time, and crept downstairs. He heard...laughing?

"Mom?" he called down the stairs. No answer, just talking. More laughing.

"Mom!" More laughing, more chatting.

"AY YO HAG!"

"KATSUKI! BEHAVE, WE HAVE GUESTS!"

"What guests!?" he yelled back. "And what happened to...me…" He walked down, seeing his mother, Auntie Inko, and…

"DEKU YOU BASTARD!"He all but screamed, causing Izuku to jump from his seat at the table. "WHAT'RE YOU DOIN IN MY HOUSE? HAH?"

SMACK

"Katsuki, I swear!" Mitsuki rubbed her eyebrows with one hand while smacking him with the other. "Who do you think brought you back, you dumbass?"

"Hah? I don't need your fuckin' he-"

"Thank you," Masaru interrupted, "for bringing him back, Izuku-chan. But what exactly happened? I just got back from work so…"

"Well I'll tell you!" Mitsuki said mock-sweetly. "Our son decided to challenge Izuku here to a fight, was warned not to fight him, did it anyway, and got his ass beat!"

Izuku sat back down, trying to seem as small as possible while Inko sat crossly with him. It was high time they put an end to this after all.

"From what Izuku told us, he told you he didn't want to fight, but you forced him to transform anyway!" Mitsuki screeched. "Then after warning you again, you kept going, and you got thrown so hard you got knocked out! Does that sound familiar?"

Katsuki went chalk white, silent for once. 'I was...beaten?'he thought with disbelief. Sure, that big red fuck was tough, but...beaten?

"Hmph! Inko?" Mrs. Bakugo asked. "Anything from your side?"

Inko, who had been maintaining an air of calm for Izuku, grew a rare expression of pure rage. Rage so strong, and so unlike her, that Katsuki's hairs stood on end.

"You listen to me," she said quietly, but clearly. "You have hurt my son for the last time. And don't think I don't know about where he got all those burn marks after school for so long. He never once gave you up, but truthfully? I should've done this years ago." She leaned in close, putting the fear of God into the 14-year-old's heart. "If you ever hurt my son again, there won't be anywhere you can crawl where I can't find you. Do you understand me?"

It took a moment for him to gather his nerves, but he dumbly nodded. The aura faded.

"Good. Mitsuki, any objections?"

Bakugo's mother shook her head. "No. It's about time really."

"Great, that said," she looked to her son. "Anything you would like to say, Izuku?"

Izuku cleared his throat and looked at Katsuki. "I...I'm sorry I threw you so hard. It was an accident and-"

"Save it." Katsuki scoffed. Midoriya blinked. "Huh?"

"I said save it" he repeated. "I wanted to know how strong you were. I found out." It took every speck of humility he had to say what he said next. "You're...not completely weak."

"But I...I still hurt you! I didn't mean to…"

"Listen mother fu-" he cleared his throat under the angry gaze of two mothers. "I'm saying you can forget it. And don't you dare apologize, 'cause you don't get to look down on me! Got it?"

"I…" It took a moment, but Izuku was starting to understand. He was trying to say something he wouldn't let himself say. "...ok."

"Good. Are we done now?" Katsuki asked rudely. He just hit his quota for politeness that day.

"I suppose so." Mitsuki decided. "How's the bruise?"

"Fuckin' sucks."

"Good. Consider that the reward for fucking around."

xXx

On an abandoned planet…

Deep, in the outer rim of the Milky way was a shattered planet. Shattered from overharvesting resources and upsetting the natural balance, causing the planet's core to meltdown. Parts of the planet were floating around the main piece in orbit like an explosion in slow motion.

In truth, the planet was exploding in slow motion, held together by Galvanic Chronograv-generator on the planet surface. Put in place so the smartest being in 3, possibly 5, galaxies could work in peace and quiet for once, as the generator kept foreign objects from entering the grav-field, including sound and other communication signals. On this world, nothing could possibly disturb the First Thinker.

All but one thing.

"And of course, the diathermic regulator disintegrates as soon as it's injected into the quadrysystem!" A 5 inch being exclaimed. "Why am I not surprised?" Outside of the Galvan's field of attention, a spherical probe floated over to the First Thinker's latest creation.

"First Thinker Azmuth." A synthesized voice said.

"Busy!" he snapped as he reconstructed the diathermic regulator.

"It is important."

"Bah!" The regulator fell to the floor with a clink. "Useless. Fine, what do you want, Xo?"

"We have a confirmation signal from Sector XX00-2371-Sol System-"

"Impossible, no signal of any kind breaches the planet! Now get out, you're bothering me!"

"I am not. The Hyperpsionic Drill you're constructing is bothering you."

"Well maybe if someone other than an incompetent myroid managed to properly cool that regulator, the psionic frequencies would synchronize as they should! But no!"

"Why are you still here?" the Galvan asked bitterly.

"We have a confirmation signal from Sector XX00-2371-Sol System, designation: Omnimatrix Prototype."

"I told you nothing gets in…this…field…" the Galvan realized his lapse of judgement. "Except for the frequencies of the Codon Stream's communication system, designed to be able to communicate to the Omnitrix no matter it's location. Hmph" he grunted. "so, the blasted thing reconstructed itself as programed. What did it do?"

"It immediately coupled to the closest descendant of the designated user on the 3rd planet of the system."

"So now some bozo has it? Bah!" he waved the report off. "Whatever, they can have it for all I care. Since the universe is so hellbent on destroying itself, I say let it!"

"Do you mean that sir?"

"Yes! Now make yourself useful and find some cryonic webbing. If you want the part made right, you gotta do it yourself I suppose…"

xXx

2 weeks later…

Katsuki Bakugo had found time to think. For once.

Sure he was a smart guy, always at the top of his class and quick as a whip. But something inside him got shaken. Something vital to the kind of person he was.

His pride.

His unshakable belief that he is the best. That his quirk is the best. That he, and only he, had a shot at becoming the Number One Hero like All Might, at least at Aldera.

But then along came Deku, who managed to curb stomp him without even wanting to fight.

So, he found the time to think on that. On why he thought he was the best. And you know what he decided?

He decided he was right. He is the best and is destined for greatness. But that didn't mean everyone else was useless. And it didn't mean he couldn't be beaten. But may the Lord have mercy on those who thought they could beat him!

So here he was, at Deku's new training spot. This old beach had been piled high with trash for years, but now Deku and some guy are cleaning the place for "training". It's no real secret, it's kinda hard to miss. Especially with the amount of progress the nerd managed in the last few months. Katsuki could actually navigate through the mountains of garbage to the shore.

He was wondering how to find the shitbag before he saw something out of the corner of his eye. A grey scaled fish man with huge teeth! With that dumbass symbol on his left chest. The black tail broke apart to form scaly legs as Ripjaws climbed out of the ocean, with a mouthful of garbage in his jaws. The creature easily noticed his classmate.

"Kachaw!" he said with his mouth full.

Bakugo sneered at the new form. "You're ugly as fuck, Deku."

The Piscciss Volann simply walked up to a pile of trash and spat the garbage out. Seems like he's been doing this regularly by the size of the pile. "Doesn't have to be pretty."

Bakugo shrugged, looking away as Midoriya tapped the Omnitrix, changing back in a flash.

"Anyway," Midoriya continued. "What're you doing here?"

Bakugo crossed his arms. "Heard you were training here. You and some old guy."

'Who happens to be All Might' Midoriya thought sheepishly. Bakugo really would explode if he knew. "Y-Yeah. It's like I said, I…I have to try you know? To be a hero, I mean."

Bakugo only frowned for a moment. Midoriya waited for an answer, but the other boy said nothing. The Omnitrix dinged, breaking the silence.

"Well uh, I'd better get back to work…" Midoriya turned to get back in the water.

"I figured you'd only get hurt without a quirk."

Midoriya jerked up, turning back. Bakugo was glaring but wasn't hostile. Yet, anyway. He continued.

"It took me a moment, but…" Bakugo struggled to find the words. "I guess you have at least half a chance now. At UA. And between you and me, we're the only ones in that shitty school who's got at least half a shot. So," he had to physically swallow his pride and dignity here, "see you there." he finally said through gritted teeth.

Now a great deal of shocking things had happened to Midoriya in the last few months. He somehow got his quirk, 10 at that, met All Might and now is trained by him, but this?

This takes the cake.

"Kachaan, I…" Midoriya choked up a bit, but forced it down. "…thanks."

"…tch." Bakugo glared again. "Don't think I'll make it easy for you nerd." With another flash of green, Midoriya was replaced by Ripjaws again, who gave a toothy smile.

"Wouldn't dream of it" he croaked. All the while, Toshinori had watched in interest from his truck, after hauling the latest load to the dump. He smirked as the other kid left.

"Seems you got competition already, my boy" he chuckled to himself.

"HHHRRRRRAAAAAAA!" The large form of Fourarms tossed another fridge out of the beach while carrying two more. Later, a biomechanical blob possessed a rusty station wagon, using it to haul load after load of garbage. Later on, Heatblast used his flames to clear away the residual debris from clean up. The next day, XLR8 scoured the beach, searching for more trash, which was getting scarcer by the day. Using Stinkfly, he flew along the shore, kicking up the sand with his wings to smooth it out.

And one day…

"YEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHH!" The human form of Midoriya stood on the last of the trash he had hauled, his task finally complete. With two months to spare!

Toshinori had come running, hearing the shout, only to find his ward screaming at the top of his lungs at the sparkling, clean beach.

"Holy crap kid…not a speck of trash left! On the entire beach?"

It was true. As XLR8, getting to one side of the beach from the other was a breeze, though the work involved was still a challenge.

"Holy…stinkin'…SUPER CRAP!" All Might shouted in excitement as Midoriya tripped, tumbling off the mountain of garbage. He sped forward easily, catching the boy.

"All Might…I did it!"

"HA HA! YEAH, YOU DID, KID. TAKE A REST, YOU EARNED IT."

After a few minutes rest, Izuku started admiring his hard work. The entire shore was completely clear of trash and was shining brighter than the picture All Might showed him months ago. The Number One Hero couldn't be prouder.

But it was time for the real test.

"All right kid, I have one final task for you. Think you can handle it?" Toshinori asked.

Midoriya nodded excitedly. "Yes! What is it!?" All Might assumed a spot about 20 feet away from his student.

"Let's spar. But this time, you pull out all the stops. Got it?"

Midoriya's confidence wavered for a minute. Though they had sparred before, it was more "using All Might like a moving punching bag for his moves" sort of deal. But how many people could say they've fought All Might?

Not many.

"Ok," he agreed. "I'm ready!"

"GOOD!" Then, he disappeared! The sand exploded where he was standing as he dashed behind Midoriya. "GIVE IT EVERYTHING YOU'VE GOT, YOUNG MIDORIYA!"

FLASH! Green light flashed as Izuku hit the Omnitrix at random, causing All Might to miss his underpowered punch! When he blinked the flash out of his eyes, Midoriya was gone!

"WELL THEN! GOING FOR A STEALTHY APPROACH, ARE WE, GHOSTFREAK?" All Might said to thin air. He felt a shiver to his right and punched with his left!

"Wooaaaaaaahhhh!" Though he was intangible, the force from All Might's Texas Smash still kicked up a massive amount of wind, stunning the Ectonurite. Now solid, Ghostfreak eyed his opponent with his singular purple eye from above. "Something like that. But can you punch what you can't see?" he whispered as he vanished again.

All Might looked around for a sign of his student. Usually, Ghostfreak gave him enough of a chill to detect his general location. He felt the chill, but the alien seemed to be all around him!

"WHERE DID HE-WOAH!" Ghostly striped tentacles sprung from the ground, immobilizing the hero! Midoriya had phased below him to avoid detection! He rose from beneath the sand, the appendages sprouting from the ghost's chest.

"Gotcha." The ghost's voice rattled. All Might grinned wider. "ARE YOU SURE ABOUT THAT?"

With a kick, he struck the Ectonurite in the chest, who didn't react in time! The tentacles loosened as Midoriya dissipated into smoke, letting All Might move again. The black smoke reformed behind the hero, sprouting long claws from his fingers. All Might spun around to catch the creature's wrists easily.

"IS THAT ALL YOU GOT, YOUNG MIDORIYA?" All Might challenged. The ghost vanished again, phasing out of All Might's grip. Toshinori gave a mighty slap in the air, causing another blast of air pressure. Ghostfreak, meanwhile, had dived underground again.

"Gotta try something different" he decided, reaching for the Omnitrix. "I really hope this works."

Above, All Might kept searching for his opponent. "YOU CAN'T HIDE FOREVER, KID! YOU GIVING UP?"

RUMBLE

The sand beneath his feet trembled as green diamonds sprouted towards the hero! He punched the crystals away only for two enormous blocks of diamond to hurled at him from behind! One hit him in the back, but he blocked the other as Diamondhead rose from the ground.

"Not a chance, All Might!" Crystalline spikes grew from one hand as he launched diamond bullets towards his favorite hero. All Might blocked with one arm as he tried to move, but green rock had formed around his feet! While he was distracted, the Petrosapien slid forward on a ramp of diamond and cocked back a solid fist!

SMASH!

Even for the Number One Hero, a harder-than-diamond punch to the face hurt! But it hurt Midoriya more, as he pulled his cracked fist back in awe. The Omnitrix timed out, reverting him back to human in a flash of red. Midoriya shook off his bruised hand as All Might broke off the diamond trap from his feet.

"That was a decent fight, young Midoriya! I'm impressed." All Might congratulated. "Any other opponent would not have taken that strike so easily!"

Midoriya smiled sheepishly. It's not like he thought he could actually beat All Might, but at least he put up a fight!

"One question, how did you change from Ghostfreak to Diamondhead to quickly?" All Might asked.

"It's something I'm trying to figure out, but I think by touching the watch I can transform to other forms without changing back" Midoriya explained. "It shortens the time limit though. And I was trying to go Fourarms, not Diamondhead."

"Ah, a work in progress then! You're making leaps and strides kid!"

Midoriya looked at his watch happily. UA was just around the corner, and he was more ready than ever!

And that's the end of Chapter Two! I hope y'all enjoyed!

In case it wasn't obvious, All Might is not yet planning on giving Midoriya One-for-All. At least, not until he knows he can handle it. Although some transformations are capable of bruising him, none of Midoriya's current forms can come close to All Might's strength and power. Although, theoretically, Ghostfreak could attack him mentally, but Midoriya wouldn't think to do that. He's too nice.

I'm not really sure how OfA would interact with the Omnitrix either. I've seen one author add the evolutionary function (Ultimate forms) as a reaction to OfA, which is cool, but I don't want to Copy/Paste either. Ultimate forms are also pretty OP, so definitely not until later if at all. Although, it would be pretty awesome to design some new ultimate forms for the original 10, barring Wildmutt, who already has one. The Omnitrix also rejected any other user because they have quirks, which are registered as abnormalities to the standard human form. So, if Midoriya get OfA, would the Omnitrix reject the power and send it back? Or simply incorporate the power's enhancement properties depending on the transformation? Who's to say?

As for Midoriya v Bakugo, it happened a bit sooner than one might think, along with Bakugo's development. But remember, this chapter is happening over the course of 10 months until the Entrance Exam and Midoriya has and regularly uses his new "quirk". So Bakugo needed to get used to that fact earlier because he knows about it sooner. Will he stop being a dick to Deku? No, but some of that development is getting a kickstart. I also can't believe Mitsuki and Inko didn't rock his shit sooner.
