Long ago, when the Pyramids were still young. The Egyptian kings played with a force of great and terrible power.
They commanded strange creatures of unknown origins and twisted nature to fight and smite their enemies. Even as these forces started showing signs of erupting into a great war that threatened to destroy the entire world.
In their hunger for more power, the Egyptian pharaohs put one commoner named Odelus Obar up to the task of uncovering the mysteries of this force.
Funded by the pharaoh, he sought to unravel these mysteries. He traveled the lands in search of an answer until he found himself upon the great gate of Abaa.
Upon opening the gate, strange energies rushed out, engulfing the earth, rotting its soil, twisting its inhabitants until the entire planet stood consumed. Mutated creatures that were now devoid of intellect rushed upon the humans, tearing and searing through the civilizations.
A terrible power had been unleashed upon the earth. Making it dangerous & Unsustainable for mankind.
However, from the same gate also emerged the "Forefathers" equipped with incredibly advanced technology. Technology that could combat and contain these threats.
The ones who came before aided the humans. Rushed them to the only place of safety they knew. The humans took refuge within the gate. For beyond it, existed a world of its own.
A sad and dying world. A joke of a world created from the idea of the original. A mere imitation. A failed prototype. A world parallel to theirs but limited... broken, twisted, and deformed in many ways. Hence, the world was named 'The EXTRACT'.
The forefathers spent the last of their time with the humans. They left in their hands the decaying realm along with all their wisdom and all their crafts.
This was the story we were told as kids. Why do I recall them here?
Now at the edge of a blade, I recall all that has brought me to this point.
