In shattered glass, a life may sway,
The winds of wrath tear night from day.
A love in peril, a heart on fire,
The storm approaches, rising higher.

"Oh my God, what an accident!" one of the women witnessing the crash screamed, her voice trembling with horror.
"Hope they survive this," another whispered, fear thick in her tone.
Ariel's car had collided violently with another vehicle, flipping violently in the air before crashing down with bone-jarring force. Glass exploded into a thousand shards, slicing through her hands and legs, leaving crimson streaks on her skin. Her blue gown was soaked in blood, her golden hair matted and tangled with debris.
The car behind screeched to a halt. Men scrambled out, eyes wide with alarm, rushing toward the wreckage.
Carefully, they pried open the roof and carried Eva out. She had only minor injuries. Being a shape-shifter, her body healed almost immediately, though exhaustion marked her movements.
