"Lidia, look!" one of the young maids gasped, clutching her friend's arm as her eyes widened in awe.
"Oh my moon! He's so handsome," she whispered, her voice trembling with the kind of admiration that only came once in a lifetime.
Lidia followed her gaze and nearly lost her breath. "Who's he?" she asked, her tone a mixture of curiosity and admiration.
"That's one of the new slaves brought to the castle last season," whispered Lora, eyes gleaming. "They say he works as a chef in the East-Wind quarters. But—oh Goddess—he doesn't look like any ordinary slave to me."
