This opening line sounds different from those before.
Surely Suzuhiko-hime has sensed the genuine deity's aura emanating from Kamiyagawa.
"Do you have something for me this time?"
Kamiyagawa skillfully made his way to Suzuhiko-hime.
The latter shook the golden bell staff in her hand, producing a crisp ringing sound, then lightly leaped down from the Toyotama-hime statue. Her toes touched the ground, and a golden anklet on her left ankle glistened with an unknown gleaming light.
As Suzuhiko-hime stepped away from the Toyotama-hime statue, the towering statue silently slid aside. On the wall that the statue concealed, a narrow and dark passageway was revealed.
Kamiyagawa had visited this side hall many times but had never sensed that there was a passage hidden behind the statue.
Perhaps the Divine Maiden Statue itself completely concealed the passage behind it, as well as any aura that should have emanated from it.
