The Abaraki Plain shrouded in the night.
The Apoqi River quietly flowed around the vast plain, reflecting the faint glow under the illumination of a large moon hanging in the sky.
But the downstream portion of the river near Tsukushi Castle presented a different sight.
The Human Grass of Tsukushi Castle gathered around the Apoqi River, releasing floating lanterns.
This was part of a celebratory event, to commemorate Izanagi.
On the water's surface, floating lanterns of various shapes drifted, made of bamboo strips and colored paper, robust and beautiful.
The orange candle flames on the floating lanterns flickered, their gentle and warm glows bobbing with the waves, like scattered stardust forming a brilliant band of light, creating a flowing, dreamy landscape over the river.
Serene and beautiful, no one wanted to disturb it.
On an inconspicuous spot along the riverbank, away from the gathering of Human Grass.
A small figure wandered.
