They were ready...
About 10 years passed since the council went public with the colonization. With this much time passed, one would think that the excitement about this would start fading, but surprisingly, it hasn't.
The fervor and eagerness of the public still burned passionately as if they had just heard about it yesterday.
And because of that, the efforts poured into the first migration remained passionate too. People worked and contributed day and night to ensure that not only was the work constant but also of quality. No aspect of this project could be relaxed since it was closely tied to the prosperity of the whole race.
As such, a little bit over ten years since the announcement was made, everything was ready.
The ships that would be needed for the fleet had been made and were operational. All systems were optimized and are in excellent condition; each one was ready to be used at any given moment.
