Chapter 36 - Quiet Possession

After a few twists and turns, Jenny finally drifted into a deep, peaceful sleep. Her breathing was steady, soft, completely unguarded. The playful tension of earlier had faded, replaced by the calm rhythm of the night.

A few hours later, Ryan returned after freshening up. The world outside the penthouse—clients, calls, deadlines—was gone for now. Here, it was only him and her.

Jenny lay on the bed in the same position she had fallen asleep in, turned slightly to one side. Her hair fanned delicately across the pillow, her shoulders rising and falling with every quiet breath.

Without disturbing her, Ryan slid onto the bed behind her. He reached out slowly, wrapping his arms around her, pulling her gently but firmly closer. She instinctively fit against him, completely at ease, completely trusting.

He adjusted slightly, letting his chest press lightly against her back, one arm draped possessively over her waist. His other hand rested gently on her arm, anchoring her to him—protective, possessive, and utterly attentive.

Jenny's peaceful posture, the rise and fall of her breathing, made a faint smile touch his lips—almost imperceptible. Her vulnerability, her quiet trust, stirred something deep in him. Yet he remained controlled, cold, dominant, letting the embrace speak instead of words.

He held her like that for a long while, the world outside forgotten, the air around them heavy with unspoken connection. Every instinct of his dominance and possession was satisfied simply by keeping her close, letting her feel safe in his arms while asleep.

Jenny stirred slightly, murmuring softly in her sleep, and Ryan tightened his hold just a fraction, back-hugging her firmly. She was his, completely and quietly, and he had no intention of letting go.

In that quiet darkness, they slept intertwined, his strength and her trust creating a world of intimacy far beyond any words or gestures.
