"Jiraiya! Why the hell did you summon me?! I see no enemies!" Gamabunta, the chief toad of Mount Myoboku yelled at Jiraiya who shook his head.
Gamabunta is one of the largest summons in the series, comparable in size to a tailed beast. He is coloured a dull, rusty red, but around his eyes and on his lips and chest are brighter red markings.
Over his left eye, he received a scar at some point in the past. His tongue has a series of stud-like piercings on both the upper and lower side.
He often wears a large blue happi vest that has the kanji (ebi) on the back, and always carries a massive dosu blade at his hip. He also carries a large kiseru pipe which he often smokes.
"Not me Bunta, it's the kid sitting on your head who summoned you." Jiraiya explained.
"Hah?!" Gamabunta narrowed his eyes as his eyes darted up and saw that Naruto was sitting on his head. He widened his eyes.
'Blonde hair, blue eyes and whiskers! No question about it! He's Minato's brat!' He thought as he looked back at Jiraiya who grinned broadly at him.
"Are you sure, Jiraiya?! How could a tiny little brat like him summon me?!" Gamabunta asked, annoying Naruto.
" Oi! I summoned you! So that means I'm the boss now!" Naruto shouted back.
" Oh really now?! Prove it!" Gamabunta shouted. Naruto gritted his teeth and showed the chief toad the summoning contract scroll.
"See? My name's in here! Isn't that enough proof?" Naruto asked him.
"Nope! Names are one thing, kid. You need to prove yourself to me." Gamabunta corrected him.
"Then how about this! I'll stand on your head for the whole day while you try to shake me off, if I fall at any time during the challenge, then I'll won't try to be your boss again. But if I win, hehehe.... " Naruto grinned broadly at the toad while cracking his knuckles. Gamabunta laughed.
"Sure! Sure!! This'll be an easy win!! I'll be borrowing him for a while!! Don't miss me too much!!" Gamabunta looked at Jiraiya who shrugged nonchalantly at Gamabunta's words.
"Here goes!!" Gamabunta warned as Naruto quickly channeled chakra to his feet so that he was stuck on top of the toad's head.
"Woah!!!!!" Naruto yelled as Gamabunta leaped high into the sky. With that one leap, Naruto could see Konoha far away from him.
*BOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMM!!!!!*
Gamabunta landed on the ground, creating a large boom and a shockwave with it. This continued for 24 hours with the chief toad trying everything he could to get Naruto off him.
Gamabunta tried blowing the smoke from his smoking pipe at Naruto's face to distract him and make him lose control.
He also channeled chakra to his legs so that he could leap higher, trying to scare Naruto because of how high they were. But Naruto won't be scared or distracted fromm something like that.
'Heh!! Kid's just like Minato!! He's determined alright!' Gamabunta thought with a large smirk on his face. Naruto grinned as Gamabunta leaped through the air again.
24 hours have passed and Gamabunta was tired from all of the leaping. He groaned as Naruto cheered loudly.
"Yay!!!! I win!!!!!" Naruto declared while he was jumping for joy on Gamabunta's head. He looked down at Gamabunta with a large foxy grin on his face.
"What do you call me?!"
"Ugh.... Congrats boss...." Gamabunta grumbled, making Naruto laugh loudly.
"Nah, it sounds weird coming from you! You don't need to call me that anymore." Naruto replied.
"Then what the hell was the whole point of the challenge?" The chief toad grumbled in annoyance.
"To prove myself to you, the chief toad. I proved that I'm worthy of bearing the responsibility of using the toad contract." Naruto explained.
"Well you've certainly proved yourself alright." Gamabunta mumbled. Jiraiya appeared in front of Gamabunta and looked up at the giant toad.
" So how did it go? " Jiraiya asked with a smile on his face. Gamabunta shrugged.
"All I'm saying is you better teach him good, Jiraiya." Gamabunta replied before looking at Naruto.
" Gotta go now, my son's probably wondering where I am right now."
" Wait you got a son—
"See ya soon kid. Let's drink together some day."
*POOOF!!!!*
"AHHH!!!!" Naruto yelled as he fell towards the ground. He was caught by Jiraiya who quickly set him down on the ground. Naruto groaned and looked at Jiraiya.
"Thanks." Naruto muttered. Jiraiya nodded back at him.
"No problem."
"Alright so it's been a day, what do we do now?" Naruto asked the Toad Sage while stretching his body. Jiraiya opened a book and hummed as he read it.
"Let's improve your control in wind release today. I have a couple of wind Manipulation exercises I want you to master. With your Shadow Clone army, you'll be done in about a couple of days."
" We'll also work on mastering your control in your other elemental affinities as well. Maybe we can throw in some extra Jutsus in there, refine your taijutsu.... Basically we have a lot to work on. Who are you going to be fighting first? "
" Hinata. " Naruto replied instantly. Jiraiya smirked at him.
"Oh? The Princess of the Hyuga Clan! Is she your girlfriend?" Jiraiya asked while elbowing Naruto playfully. Naruto snorted and shook his head.
"I wish she was. I think she likes me but I'm not sure if it's true or not. She's gets shy and blushes around me, though it's not as bad as it was a year ago." Naruto replied. Jiraiya grinned and rubbed his chin.
" Maybe ask her out on a date when all of this is over." Jiraiya suggested. Naruto deadpanned at him.
" Oi, did you forget who she was? She's the daughter of the Hyuga Clan Head and Neji's cousin. It's suicide." Naruto grumbled. Jiraiya waved his concerns away.
" Geez, I thought you read my books, Naruto. Just date in secret, it's that simple. And when the time comes, break the news to her father." Jiraiya explained casually.
"I'm not taking advice from someone who can't use their already perverted imagination to write adult novels." Naruto grumbled. Jiraiya gasped and pointed at him.
"How dare you!! You traitorous brat!! You said you were a big fan of my work! And I even signed those books!" Jiraiya shouted. Naruto looked at his godfather.
"I'm didn't say it was a bad idea though." Naruto smirked slyly at him. Jiraiya widened his eyes and smirked back at him.
" Oh now we're getting somewhere! Listen to me my student, this is exactly how it's gonna go down..."
.
.
Naruto and Jiraiya had just finished an intense training session. To Jiraiya, Naruto was a genius and a half at tactile learning. He could teach Naruto a lot in just one day because the blonde had a neverending energy tank, courtesy of his Uzumaki genes and the Kyuubi residing in him.
"So what are your dreams for the future?" Jiraiya asked after they took their seats in Ichiraku Ramen and ordered what they wanted to eat.
"Gain respect from the villagers and become Hokage one day." Naruto answered simply. Jiraiya palmed his face.
"I know that, kid. But why do you wanna be Hokage?" Jiraiya asked him. Naruto pointed at the Hokage Rock.
" To protect the village like they did. I have a bunch of precious people in Konoha and being Hokage means that I can protect everyone. But I also want to surpass the previous ones and become the strongest Kage in all of the elemental nations!" Naruto declared confidently. Jiraiya raised a brow at him.
"Really? What are you gonna do when you become Hokage?"
"I guess ease down the tensions between the Five Great Nations. Maybe instead of killing each other, we can work towards uniting all nations to become the United Nations or something like that. I don't know, I haven't really thought about it all that much. I'm just focusing on the present." Naruto mumbled.
"Here you go." Teuchi muttered as he served two bowls of miso ramen to Jiraiya and Naruto. The two thanked him before they dug in.
"You should really start thinking—" Jiraiya widened his eyes as he looked at a random direction. Naruto looked at where he was looking. He channeled chakra to his ear and widened his eyes.
He heard someone battling in a couple of blocks away and steel clashing together. Jiraiya put money on the counter before he and Naruto left the establishment and dashed towards where the battle was happening.
"Wait! That's Hayate!" Naruto muttered, noticing the ninja who proctored the preliminaries. He looked to see that he was fighting a suna Shinobi.
"And isn't that the jonin sensei of Gaara's team?" Naruto muttered as he looked at Baki, a jonin of Sunagakure and a member of its advisory council.
Baki is a very tall man. He has two distinctive, red markings on the right side of his face, the only visible part of his head, with the rest being covered by his turban-like head gear and by a sheet hanging from it on the left side of his face. He dons the standard attire of a Suna-nin, complete with a forehead protector and flak jacket.
Currently, Hayate had his katana stuck into Baki's shoulder. Baki grinned at Hayate who narrowed his eyes as he couldn't pull the katana out.
"A brilliant swing, but of course, an actual blade can be stopped. But a blade of wind can be stopped by no one. " Baki smirked as he held up his right hand. He emitted chakra from his fingertips, creating an invisible sword out of wind.
Baki was about to finish Hayate off with the attack but his hand was grabbed by Jiraiya. Baki widened his eyes as Jiraiya casually flung him away towards a wall.
*BOOOOOOOMMMM!!!!!*
Baki spat out blood as he crashed into it. He widened his eyes as he looked up at Jiraiya who cracked his knuckles while looking at the Suna Shinobi seriously.
"You fucked up kid....."
