Nathan Cole quickly said, "Haven't had breakfast yet, huh? Here... I just bought this breakfast outside the residential area. Let's eat together."
When he received Scarlett Glenn's phone call, Nathan was already on his way back with breakfast.
He was thinking whether he should bring a portion to Matilda Jenkins as an excuse to check on her.
Matilda's heart trembled, her fingers shook, and she looked down, saying, "No need, thanks..."
Nathan pointed at the blackened things in the pot, "What are you eating, black carbon?"
Matilda said softly, "That... is an egg."
"Alright... are you sure you can eat that?"
"Thanks for your kindness, but you better go back and have your breakfast."
Nathan smiled, "You should eat something. I bought a bit too much today. I can't finish it myself. I'll bring the script over after breakfast, and you can help me out. This breakfast is on me."
Nathan set down the breakfast he bought and pulled open the cupboard to get a bowl and chopsticks.
