Before long, the doorbell of the café jingled. Selvia Todd curled her lips into a faint smile, turned around, and waved at the slender yet strikingly dressed woman standing at the entrance.
"Aisha, over here!"
The woman, wearing a mask, responded to the call and walked over, sitting down directly next to Milo Sims. She pulled off her mask, revealing a flamboyant and stunning face.
Then, she tilted her head and planted a firm kiss on Milo's cheek. "Darling, did you miss me?"
Milo's coffee cup—still in his hand—was jolted by Sarah Connelly's sudden action, spilling quite a bit of coffee. A flicker of disgust passed deep within his eyes.
Yet his face displayed a gentle smile tinged with warmth, as he chose not to answer Sarah's question but glanced briefly at his coffee-stained hand.
"Oh dear, sweetheart, I'm so sorry, it wasn't intentional. Did it burn you? Let me check!"
