"What's your relationship?"
The chief examiner's sharp gaze, like radar, scanned from Xavier Gale's face to Erine Cunningham's.
"We don't know each other," Erine answered first.
"..." Xavier felt a subtle disappointment upon hearing this.
"Strangers?"
The examiner was surprised, "Then why are you speaking up for him? Why are you trying to clear his name? Do you know he hit an old man with his car?"
"I'm just stating the facts, not helping him with anything."
Erine spoke calmly and clearly, "The old man was indeed injured, but that car wasn't his, nor was he driving it. If you just check the surveillance footage from there, the truth will come out."
"I don't need you to teach me!"
The examiner showed disdain, his team was already pulling up the surveillance footage from the scene, and the truth would surface soon.
