Ella Lacey returned to her seat, gently opened the car window, stared intently behind for a minute, then whispered in Cherline Lindsey's ear, "Cherline, that black car that's been following us, why isn't it keeping up today?"

Cherline's typically cool demeanor stiffened slightly.

Ella Lacey emphasized her tone, glancing around outside the window, affirming, "Unless that person switched cars, they really aren't following us anymore. I was hoping to finally see their true face this time... Looks like it's not going to happen..."
