But, so what? Anna's casually posed question took Connor Osborne aback for a moment, leaving him without a response, or to be precise, he hadn't expected Anna to answer like that.
Anna looked at the stunned Connor Osborne, and added lightly, "I've lived a tough life since I was young. Back when you were courting me, I never asked how much money your family had. I just thought you were a nice person, and that you treated me sincerely."
Anna paused for a moment, then continued, "Later, when your family fell on hard times, I didn't look down on you for it, right?"
Connor's face turned red to the neck, and he couldn't help but whisper, "Anna, I know you've done a lot for my family, and in the future, I will definitely make up to you double."
