The three Hatchlings were still a bit puzzled. David, however, rushed over, his face full of astonishment as he anxiously looked at Nifadora and asked,
"Are you going to..."
Then he finally remembered something and blurted out,
"The Athas plane?"
If not for their many years together and his deep understanding of Nifadora's temperament, he would almost feel like a parent whose child, after finally getting into university, had grown distant and was now seeking an 'amicable separation.'
Nifadora turned elegantly, smiling just as she had when they first met in front of the Dragon Nest, and said,
"That's right. My sister Shadira and I have been stagnating at the crossroads for too long."
As she spoke, she used the tip of her tail to take out the Heart of Emerald—the one her mother's Illusion had given to David, and which David, unable to figure out its purpose, had carelessly tossed to Nifadora:
