Chapter 11 - The Impossible battle...Telekinesis!?

The Base Head's voice rang out from behind the sofa where he was hiding.

Zeras seemed to have gone deaf as he kept shooting at the sofa.

He wasn't a fool and wouldn't be till he died.

He was turned into a lab rat by the base, and now they want him to join them?

Joining one's enemies.

That's probably the stupidest decision he could make in his life.

Not only had he almost destroyed the base, but he killed all their successful beast experimental subjects and the entire guard units.

There was no way they would easily forgive him for that.

So in the end, he made his decision.

Only one will survive, him or the base.

Zeras moved around the place with speed, repeatedly shooting destructive beams of light at the half-destroyed sofa, when all of a sudden, he clicked on the trigger, but nothing came out.

He had run out of bullets.

"Shit..."

Before he could think of his next move, the man flashed towards him with insane speed, appearing instantly before Zeras could blink.

BOOOOOOM!

His palm slammed forward with apocalyptic power, the air compressed madly from the pure strength behind the attack.

Zeras immediately flung the gun aside as his upper body moved downward, dodging the palm.

His head bent to the ground, both hands on the ground as a firm support, and he slammed up a kick, the most powerful he had ever thrown in his life, at the man's jaw.

BAAAAANG!

It connected firmly, sending the man three steps backwards while Zeras himself was blown backwards and slammed into the wall.

'What the...'

His face was painted in disbelief, realizing he was the one sent flying from having kicked the man's jaw.

It was as if he rammed his leg on a metallic wall.

Chris [The Base Head] was surprised by the kicks, unable to immediately believe the kid had dodged his palm strike and even pushed him back with a counterattack.

"Seems I'll have to get a little serious with you, boy."

"But I also don't want you dead, as you're my major prize, so I'll only be using 50% of my full strength."

"That should be more than enough to knock you out cold."

He said as he raised his hands upwards while closing his eyes.

What happened next made Zeras's jaw fall:

All the materials in the room suddenly began floating as they hung around Chris in the air.

Chris pocketed his left hand, then pointed his right at Zeras.

In response, all the objects immediately slammed towards him.

It was so fast, he had not moved even a single inch, before getting nailed to the wall.

The large centre table in the room followed after, slamming him deeper into the wall.

Chris moved with speed, the table falling, and he threw out a punch that slammed into the boy's face, digging him deeper into the wall.

He jumped up right after, slamming both legs on Zeras's chest.

BAAAAANG!

Zeras completely tore through the wall, rolling into the other room.

[-30HP]

The place he landed in was a large room with a great amount of space.

Chris slowly entered the hole, flashing a grin at him.

"Oh, you can still stand after that? Let's see how long you can last."

He immediately pointed his hands forward as different sharp objects floating behind him moved toward Zeras.

"Activate Dash."

He blitzed off the ground, dodging the projectiles while attempting to get closer to Chris, but all his attempts were futile.

Chris perfectly controlled the projectiles, preventing him from getting near,

A system notification once again appeared

[Energy: 20/65]

'If this keeps going, I'll run out of energy first. I need to end this...now!'

Zeras suddenly changed his, running up a wall.

He jumped off, landing on the next, before jumping off once more, onto the next and then the next, again and again.

With every jump, he gathered even more momentum, his body becoming a blur before bursting forward towards Chris.

The Base Head quickly turned his head behind him, feeling something soaring from there, and he sent all his projectiles, intent on gravely injuring Zeras.

Then it'll be easy to capture him.

But his grin receded, and he saw at the last second that what was soaring towards him wasn't Zeras but a thrown metallic rod.

He rapidly turned his gaze backward, trying to quickly retreat, but he was still too slow, as a figure appeared right before his turned head, a dagger flashing towards his neck.

PUUUUUCHI!

The sound of flesh being pierced echoed through the room as Chris held on tightly to the blade, but Zeras didn't stop there.

With the dagger in Chris's neck, he immediately tore down his stomach, blood spilling out before removing it.

PUUUUUCHI!

PUUUUUCHI!

PUUUUUCHI!

His dagger dug into Chris's thigh three more times, repeatedly, tearing muscles asunder.

Chris, while falling, pointed where Zeras stood.

A sharp surgical knife immediately pierced towards the boy's head, but he managed to dodge it as it pierced into his shoulder instead.

Ignoring it as if he was beyond pain, Zeras immediately bent to the ground and slammed his leg on the back of Chris's feet, making him lie horizontally on the floor.

His dagger moved in that instant, piercing into Chris's neck once more, slamming Chris's bloodied figure into the ground.

BOOOOOOOOOM!

A wide dent appeared on the floor as the dagger remained lodged in Chris's neck, nailing him to the ground.

Zeras slowly stood up as he stared at the horrified expression on Chris's face, before letting out a stale puff of white breath from his mouth.

Moving towards him, he took off the watch and pressed some numbers on it before waiting.

"Hello, this is the EIA speaking. What's the emergency?"

"I don't know where...ahh, where I...ahhh, am."

"In some secret base where humans are turned into experimental subjects..."

"Please try tracking down... It's a big emergency... Be fas..."

The watch slipped off his hand in the next moment, and he landed on the ground, face-first, blood spurting from his wounds.

He felt groggy, the world a blur, as different notification panels from the system flashed, but he was already gone, his consciousness rapidly descending into the darkness.

Even though the battle was almost impossible, he ended up winning.

Majorly due to the opponent's underestimation of his strength, and trying to capture him alive instead of outright killing him.
