Chapter 5 - Camp Half-Blood

A/N: Tell me if you guys want me to keep working on this story or do you want me to keep working on my Percabeth.

Sophie's POV

"Demigods," I repeated, "Like Hercules and Achilles."

"Yes, but what I'm trying to say is that everything Greek is alive," answered Mr. Forkle. "The actual reason I brought you here was to show you the Greek camp," he continued, "See that pine tree over there? Pass that tree and you'll find the Greek camp." With that, he started toward the pine tree.

"When did you know about how Greek myths were real," asked Fitz.

"I've known about it since I was 20," he replied as we made our way up the hill. When we reached the top of the hill I saw how truly colossal the pine tree was. It was easily as tall as some of the towers at Havenfield. I also saw what looked like a shimmering rug on one of the branches.

"Be careful," Mr. Forkle warned as we neared the base of the tree, "Pelos, guards this tree and takes his job very seriously." As soon as we were 10 feet away from the tree I saw what looked like a dragon.

"Is that what I think it is," I asked nervously.

"Yep," replied Keefe, "Pretty sure all of us see the dragon right next to us." To spare you the details we went like a foot away from the dragon and went over to what looked like a big house with a wraparound porch. On the way down to the house, we saw a couple of kids shooting bows, and climbing up a climbing wall that shot out lava.

"Nice to see you Chiron," an ordinary-looking girl responded from the porch. She looked like she was from the coast. The only thing unsettling about her appearance was her gray eyes. "Have you told them yet," she asked Mr. Forkle.

"Not yet. I'm waiting for Percy," he responded as a boy with messy black hair, and sea green eyes came out of the house.

"You might want to sit down for this next part," said Mr. Forkle as he took out what looked like a bottle of golden light and drank it. He slowly transformed into what I was pretty sure was a centaur.

"I'm also Chiron, the trainer of heroes," he said to all of us as we stared at him in shock.

"Why were you also Chiron," asked Dex.

"I did it because I knew that we would need to come together in case of an emergency. I knew that now was the perfect time for this. Percy, Annabeth, if your willing could you take them on a tour?"

"Sure," Percy said as he went down the steps of the porch, holding hands with the girl Annabeth. They showed us the archery, the sword fighting arena, and the armory, where even Ro was impressed by the weapons they were making. They showed us the different cabins.

"Percy's a son of Poseidon, so he can control water, talk to horses, and some other things that I can't think of right now, and I'm a daughter of Athena goddess of wisdom, and warfare," explained Annabeth. After showing us the volleyball courts we went to the pegasus stables.

"Hey Blackjack!" exclaimed Percy as he went over to a stable holding a black pegasus. The pegasus let out a loud whine. "No, I don't have donuts but I have sugar cubes," he said as he pulled some out of his pocket. Well got to go now! See you later!"

"This place is amazing," Fitz whispered to me, "Oh! I forgot to mention! I have a surprise for you when we get back."

"What is it," I asked curiously.

"I'm not gonna tell you. Then it wouldn't be a surprise."

"Fine," I grumbled, "But if you don't tell me when we get home I am so going to kill you!" He was about to respond but we had just gotten to the edge of a ginormous lake.

"Have you ever jumped in the lake," asked Keefe.

"Oh yeah! One time a demigod friend of ours crash-landed Appolo's chariot into the lake," he said, "You want to go down to the bottom?" As soon as Keefe, Dex, and Fitz all nodded, he made three water hands grab them, and they all jumped in, pulling us down with them.

"This is amazing," said Keefe as he went to touch the outside of the bubble.

"Thanks," Percy said while communicating with some of the sea animals, "What I really want to see is where you guys live. I mean, it must be in ruins because of how bad your bodyguards are I mean maybe the ogre looks a bit harder, but still I bet I could get all of them down in a minute." All of the bodyguards looked insulted at this.

"How about we do it once we get out of here!" suggested Keefe, looking eager for a fight.

"How about us..." I bargained but was interrupted by Percy collapsing the bubble and launching us upward towards the surface. As soon as we emerged I noticed two things. One is that we were in an arena, and two, I was completely dry. Percy stepped into the middle as, Sandor, Grizel, Wolter, Ro, and Lovsie also stepped in the circle, drawing their swords. Percy brought out a pen at the same time, and for a second I thought he grabbed the wrong thing until he uncapped it, and out came a sword.

"How about we do it where.."

"Not listening," Percy said already knocking down Lovsie, and advancing on Sandor and Grizel, who were close together. He feinted to the left kicking up sand and arced over their heads. They both turned around to attack him but he had already landed and knocked their swords out of their hands. As soon as I was looking for who was left, I saw Wolter coming up behind Percy. I was about to warn him when Wolter suddenly came up behind him and attacked him from behind with a jab. I thought for a moment that he was gonna be a shish-kabob but he outmaneuvered him easily, rolled in between his legs, came up from behind, and made water push him down. After a couple of minutes which included them almost dying Ro eventually found her throat next to Percy's sword.

"We might need to get better security," noted Fitz as Percy came back to us.

"Now, how about you show us the lost cities," Percy said. I got out my pathfinder and we lept over to Havenfield.
