Chapter 17 - 17: Too much... too good

Minutes ticks by, no on says a word... they don't have to as the only sound filling the room are huff and puffs from Derrek's erratic movements and Mirabelle's useless attempts at concealing her vocals from spreading beyond the walls.

She had maybe dated a few times, but this is her first time being with someone this intimately, and she hates how much her body is enjoying every second of it. Sweat from her temple slid to the pillow beneath her head. Her body only feels warmer despite hardly doing much.

Derrek on the other hand had his entire body shimmering under the chandelier on his bedroom light. The slight gloss only defines his muscles more, and the way his hips rolled, his abs flexing uncontrollably makes Mirabelle's heart rate to skyrocket. As though his movements that are too untameable are not enough.

He grunts as his head falls back slightly, almost staring at the ceiling with his eyes closed, another useless attempt to keep his building exploration at bay to extend their session longer.

Mirabelle's eyes have glazed over, leaving no trace of the woman she once was before feeling all of Derek within her. His movements, are purposeful, deliberate, calculated. Every time he hears her yelp or moan or even when her body responds with a tight confirmation, he relentlessly presses on that one spot that sends her head thrashing against the pillow.

He loves every second of it, the way their bodies feel perfect against each other. He'd imagined him being terrible at his first time with her. At how she would have complained and even been the one to instruct him on what to do.

Yet here she is, a mess beneath him, failing to even utter any sensical ramblings and proper sentence.

He is blind, but he doesn't need to see to know she loves what he's doing. He can tell, just from the way her body grips him that she's not going to last any longer.

He dedicates what left over energy he has into being more unforgiving, getting her to cry out, not from pain, but from the overwhelming urge building inside of her that sends her crashing from the peak of bliss.

Her vision impairs for only a brief second as her eyes roll back following her release. He could feel it, every second of it from how she feels around him, as though her body was urging him too... more like demanding.

As much as he tries to fight back against it, it comes off without a warning, causing him to hiss between his teeth as his muscles lock instantly as a wave seems to wash over him, as though something has been flushed right out of his body.

He stays this way, still above her with trembling hands that still keep him from crushing right onto her.

She's heaving, he is too, trying to gather their breathes. He could still feel her warmth as his body slowly relaxes before he carefully rolls onto his side and collapses on to the bed beside her.

Mirabelle stares at the ceiling, stunned and disgusted at herself for how she feels afterwards.

He belongs to Serena. That is the plan

Yet now she doesn't even know what the plan is anymore.

"I told you I'm still capable of giving you a good time." He suddenly says beside her, his voice rusted form the heavy work he'd just done, and he shifts closer to her, spooning her from the back. "I could hear how much you liked what I was doing."

Mirabelle's face heats up and she only looks away instead, shifting more so she could really be facing away from him as he brings her back to his chest.

"I love you." He whispers with a small kiss on her shoulder. "I got to show that I do."

Mirabelle's heart thud, her eyes slowly close as she feels his body on hers. She shouldn't be here. Feeling this, having done that. She shouldn't have.... and yet...

"I love you too." She says with a voice soft and wrecked from overload. "Derrek."

Derrek's heart skipped a beat before a smile couldn't stop itself from spreading on his lips as he leaned into her, burying his nose in her hair.

"Serena." He chuckles, hugging her tighter as he kisses her shoulder. "Let's go to bed. You have a party to attend to tomorrow... unless you'd want to spend the whole day with me... making love... every hour of the day until we can't move..."

Mirabelle's eyes widen at the offer and shakes her head vigorously.

She wouldn't.... she shouldn't...

"Tempting, but my cousin would eat me alive if I didn't go." She chuckles nervously and he groans in displeasure.

"Very well... I'll be waiting for you to return." He says in a whisper to her ear. "I'd like to have more of you... every night... Every day."

Mirabelle quickly turns away and shoves her face into the pillow, her stomach feeling twisted, and not in the guilty conscious.

She knows she's overstepped a line. A line that could cost her more than just her job. Her whole career as a nurse would plummet to the ground.

And yet, strangely... She felt compelled to him.

Her delusional choice to play his lover's role didn't feel so made up.

He liked her. Not Serena... Right?

"Goodnight." She hears him whisper as he snakes his arms around her waist tightly and lets out a deep breath through his nose, the air brushing against her ear. "Let's stay like this forever..." He suggests, making Mirabelle's stomach to sink.

Her eyes focus on a lamp on the bedside stool, the light is soft, cozy and warm. The perfect setting for domestic intimacy.

She slowly closed her eyes, wondering why she feels too comfortable.

Wondering why she feels like she belonged here. On his bed, in his arms.

"Can I be honest, Serena?" He asks in a soft whisper and Mirabelle slowly opens her eyes, gripping her pillow slightly tight.

The mention of her fake identity's name always reminds her she needs to know her place... And yet she doesn't want to leave now more than ever.

"Mhm." She answers cautiously, only to feel him shift even closer to her, feeling as though he is melting into her body.

"I don't know what happened to you, what changed." He says as he reaches up and feels her hair before planting a soft kiss and burying his nose back in. "But I feel less alone and less intimidated by the thought of remaining blind."

Mirabelle heart thuds in her chest as she listens to him, unsure of what to say. Unsure of how Serena would respond to that.

"I was angry that I kept failing... That my body just couldn't give me the one thing you asked of me. To see." He takes in a heavy breath and let's it out. "I have a 50% chance to be able to see again, and fully recover. And I hoped I would have by now. So I got frustrated when it failed. I lashed out to the doctor from frustration, and I just hated my nurse on a whim." He laughs, a deep ramble in his throat tickled her ear despite what he's just said.

He knows he hates her, Mirabelle. Yet she still let him have her body...

"I know it's not their fault. But it was the fear you'd leave me." He sighs and tightens his hold on her. "I feel I can be more patient now. Because we've progressed in our relationship. I'm not saying we had to have sex for me to believe in us... It's the words you said. That you loved me. I could feel the sincerity. I could tell you meant it."

And she did. That's why she hates herself for it.

"So I'll be patient. As you have been with me all this while." He says softly and kisses her neck. "Go to sleep. I won't disturb you anymore."

"Hm." Mirabelle only hums in acknowledgement. Unsure of what to even say.

This all feels wrong. And it's slowly settling within her that she's only tricking him.

Shaking her head to brush away the worry of what will happen when he finds out, Mirabelle closes her eyes in hopes of falling asleep sooner than later.
