"Where have you been, It's been two days I was about to report you as missing"
Facing her roommate's slightly worried, and slightly annoyed face Bai Hua was stumped Since she arrived all Bai Hua was focused on was how to leave, or how to get money and just grumbling about how easy the heroine had it, It felt good knowing one person was concerned about her whereabouts.
"I'm alright I went to visit my family and lost track of time"
"Really? We've been roommates for two years and you've never mentioned any relatives, well Since you're okay then that's fine, sorry for spouting off at you it's not my business. I was just concerned because you've never left the dorm before even when it's break time."

Looking at the girl who screamed average and bookish Bai Hua suddenly wondered how she would face the impending doom.
"Hey Feng Mai, do you remember when those people posted about something called the landlord's system?"
"Who doesn't remember it was all over the internet and weird too, some people even said the world was ending" Feng Mai scrunched her nose remembering all the conspiracy theories, some of them were wild, raging from aliens to goblins finally to zombies.
If not for all those government reports about the fabricated video and the poster's history of schizophrenia she would've believed it too.
"Well, what if it was real, I mean what if the world was ending" Bai Hua looked at the girl, At some point in time Bai Hua accepted this world as her new reality, and since she has been granted the landlord system she wanted to build a territory where people like her nerdy roommate could have a chance of living in this fucked up world"
"That's insane, have you been drinking? Is that where you've been? Honestly, you shouldn't go to places where you could put yourself in danger or believe in ridiculous notions about the end of the world.

Bai Hua stopped speaking, she couldn't tell Feng Mai she was a landlord, as much as she wanted to help the girl at some point in time people would attack landlords to steal their powers.
Bai Hua needed to protect herself first.
"Well just think about it, The government had every reason to dispel those rumors, if something did happen it would be better to be prepared."
"How do you even prepare for the end of the world? What should we stock up on salt to fight against goblins?"
"Haha, Maybe just prepare food with long shelf lives and weapons that are easy to use"
Feng Mai looked at Bai Hua's serious demeanor and frowned, she did not want to entertain the possibility of the apocalypse.

After hesitating Bai Hua said: "I've been thinking since those people can create houses and stuff in the future we might have to live there in case anything happens"
"What like living in those wooden sheds?"
"Hmmm, in the future circumstances might not be ideal for people to continue living in cities."
"Alright I've heard enough, If the hypothetical apocalypse begins and the cities are no longer livable I'll consider living in the wooden shed, wherever they are"
