Chapter 155 - chapter-154

...15 minutes before the attack....

After breaking the phone, Naruto sprinted towards the pro heroes and students. "How could I have been so stupid?" he questioned himself. Since he was five years old, he had been trained as a shinobi. Bold and strategic individuals had taught him everything he knew, and now he had made a grave mistake: letting his guard down and allowing the enemy to set a trap. "If something happens to them..." Swallowing hard, he moved with a speed that could only be described as a flash. When he finally caught sight of the students about to begin the challenge of courage, however...

He felt it…

A shadow came toward him and struck him squarely in the face. Suddenly, Naruto was sent flying backward, crashing through dozens of trees and leaving a trail of destruction. Hundreds of meters from the camp, the shinobi lay on the ground, dazed and in pain, blood trickling from his mouth. He managed to stand.

"..." The silhouette that had attacked him had landed just a few meters away from him. This was a woman wearing a dark-colored full-body suit with a metallic exoskeleton, also black. She also carried on her back what appeared to be a kind of armor, with several dark rods protruding from it. Finally, the woman wore a mask that completely covered her face and head.

"She's fast..." With a serious look, Naruto stood up to wipe the blood running from his mouth, cracking his neck as he grunted and walked towards his opponent. "I don't have time for this..." Lifting his left sleeve, he showed the bandages with a complex seal pattern drawn on them. In a burst of smoke, a katana appeared.

The masked woman watched as her target disappeared in less than a second. Calmly, she looked up and extended her hand to catch the katana blade that was heading straight for her neck. "..." With a red glow in her eyes beneath the mask, the woman shattered the katana as if it were mere glass.

Incredulous, Naruto watched his weapon be destroyed, and before he knew it, he received a hard blow to his stomach. Backing away, he had to go on the defensive, but when a fragment of his sword was thrown by the masked figure, he tilted his head, avoiding being hit, although he did get a graze that left a cut on his right cheek.

Surprised as he hadn't been in years, the Uzumaki had to block his attacker's arms as she launched a direct attack. Standing face to face, the combined forces of both opponents caused the ground to crack under the pressure. However, the armored woman, pulling out one of the rods on her back, summoned a straight, dark-bladed sword aimed straight at the teenager's head. He managed to block the attack with his hands, only to receive a hard knee strike to his stomach.

"Ahg!" Losing his breath, the shinobi was grabbed by his face and slammed against a tree, and before he could defend himself, he had to stifle his cry of pain as the masked woman's sword blade pierced his shoulder and even went through the tree trunk itself.

"It's useless to resist you; when I'm given a mission... I never fail," the masked woman spoke for the first time, her voice distorted by the mask, but her empty, dry way of speaking could still be heard, without a single drop of emotion in it. "Now I'll finish you off..." In a slow and tortured manner, the armored woman withdrew her weapon from the teenager's body, whose gaze was now lost, tightening her grip on the Uzumaki's neck and waiting for him to faint.

However, there was a problem: hands emerged from the ground and grabbed her. The masked woman, motionless, watched as an exact copy of the teenager she was holding emerged from the ground with a strange sphere of bluish wind spinning in its right hand. Without time to react, XXV received the attack point-blank in her stomach.

Launched in spiraling turns, the woman went through several trees and finally became embedded in a rock that jutted out of the ground. Remaining on the rock, she just stayed motionless behind that hard mask.

"It seems All for One didn't hesitate to send someone capable of challenging me..." With his shoulder bleeding, Naruto stood tall, and beside him, his shadow clone disappeared in a burst of smoke. Steam rising from his wound, it slowly closed until it was completely healed. With the marks on his cheeks duller and his gaze darker, the shinobi let the influence of his Biju travel through his body.

"I am my master's ultimate weapon," said the woman without hesitation as she slowly emerged from among the rocks, simply dusting off her suit as if nothing had happened.

"Nothing like a loyal dog that serves his master... What did he do to make you his pet?" the Uzumaki questioned dryly, looking at his enemy, who did not seem affected by the insult.

"He lets me live to do his will. My life no longer belongs to me; now I am only a tool for his interests. I only serve to do what he tells me without question... He is my reason for living. My purpose is only to serve him," she spoke with a certainty and dryness that, to many who might hear her, would sound like a robot, but for Naruto, it was something even more.

"You pretend to speak with devotion... but I don't sense that determination in your words. I only heard empty, meaningless words..." the Uzumaki said with a hint of irony, because just hearing her reminded him of when he was just a brat, thinking he was merely a tool of the village to be used against those who disturbed its peace. "I can recognize when someone speaks with genuine loyalty, but you only speak as if you're being forced to say it... that irritates me." With that, he tore off the bandages covering his right eye, revealing his Sharingan, which glowed with a blood-red hue, its tomoe swirling with anticipation.

Without saying a word, XXV launched an attack against the shinobi, whose silhouette became blurred for a moment.

.... Current Time ....

Aizawa and the other pro heroes watched as a villain held Pixie-bob hostage, leaving them with the decision of whether to risk attacking or remain still, waiting for the right moment to attack, or at least that's what some of them thought, as Mirko, with an annoyed expression, simply walked towards where the villains were.

"Oi oi oi! Don't you dare move!" The lizard man unfurled the weapon he carried on his back, letting the bandages tear and reveal the blades that made up the weapon. The villain's threat only made the rabbit woman frown.

"I don't have the patience to deal with such low-class villains as yourselves..." The two villains couldn't help but shudder at the penetrating gaze they were receiving from the strongest and most dangerous heroine in the country.

"Mirko... don't do anything stupid, they have a hostage," warned Ryukyu, who didn't want anyone to get hurt.

"I'll save her before they can even lift a finger," the white-haired woman said arrogantly, disappearing in a burst of speed. Everything seemed to slow down for the heroine; she was just centimeters away from hitting Lizard Man, but she never made contact. Unexpectedly, a hand emerged from the dark forest. "Ahhgg?!" In disbelief, she felt the hand grab her neck and lift her several meters into the air, only to then slam her brutally into the ground, leaving a five-meter crater. She was left motionless.

"..." Everyone present was surprised by what they saw. Had Mirko just been defeated so easily? Everyone saw the hand release its grip on the heroine's neck, and with some extension cables that connected to the wrist, it returned to the forest.

"Disappointing..." Two dark silhouettes with red clouds emerged from the forest, the taller one being the owner of the hand that readjusted itself on his arm. "That they consider you a threat to this mission is absurd..." commented the masked man dryly, looking at each of the pro heroes present.

"Hey, we can kill them. I don't recall our agreement stating they have to live," Hidan said with amusement, lazily carrying his scythe. He and his companion glanced at the pro heroes and some students behind them. "I'm sure they'll be a great sacrifice to Jashin-sama! It's been twenty hours since the last ritual! I have to make Jashin-sama happy."

"Sacrifice?" Mt. Lady asked uncertainly, eyeing the newcomers with doubt. They seemed unlike the villains who had appeared first; they appeared more powerful, confident, and far more dangerous.

"And I'm supposed to care? Just stick to the plan, that's what we were hired for... besides," narrowing his eyes, he noticed with displeasure that the person they had come to find was missing. "We've already wasted too much time..."

"Go to hell! I'm going to have some fun!" Grabbing his scythe, the silver-haired man ran at a speed that stunned several of the heroes. Running and wielding his weapon, Hidan was about to decapitate Mirko, who was still recovering from the last blow. "Die, bitch!" He was about to strike his target with a slash, if it weren't for the fact that he was crushed like an insect under the foot of Mt. Lady.

"You're crazy!" Without thinking, the large blonde stepped on the crazy man who was trying to kill her friend several times, but her attack was short-lived as she had to return to her normal size to avoid a fireball.

"Fire?!" Aizawa thought in dismay, as did his partners, as they watched the masked man in the red cloud cloak use an element like fire. "Two Quirks?" he thought worriedly. This villain had something strange about him; he didn't even seem affected by the fact that his partner had been trampled.
