Thomas Shannon chuckled, his voice low, magnetic, and intoxicating. "Dare to curse again?" The dangerous glint in his eyes put Sophie Sullivan on alert.
With a snort, Sophie Sullivan got up and lay down on the bed. Annoyed, she turned over, her back to him, and pulled the silk quilt high to cover her head.
Fortunately, Thomas Shannon was considerate enough not to continue.
That night passed peacefully.
「The next day.」
Early in the morning, Sophie Sullivan was kicked out of bed.
Scrambling up from the carpet, she grabbed the edge of the bed with one hand, growling angrily, "Thomas Shannon!"
Damn him!
His eyes still closed, Thomas Shannon's voice was laced with the laziness and hoarseness of just waking up. "There's a banquet tonight that you need to attend. Have a servant take you for a SPA."
Sophie Sullivan climbed back onto the bed, flopped down, and refused without a second thought, "I won't go."
A long leg pressed down on hers, pinning her heavily.
