The night was deep.
Sophie Sullivan lay on the bed, her mind still somewhat hazy. Her escape attempt had failed, as had her attempt to injure Thomas Shannon. For these two crimes, she truly deserved whatever punishment awaited her.Surprisingly, she was now lying on the bed, safe and sound, without having suffered any punishment.This made her extremely uneasy. Thomas Shannon was cold-hearted and ruthless; he would not easily let off anyone who wanted to kill him.
Late that night, chaotic and hurried footsteps were heard from outside the bedroom, followed by a loud bang. The bedroom door was kicked open. The door panel slammed against the wall, the impact producing a deafening noise.
Men in black burst in, roughly pulling Sophie from the bed and dragging her out.
Inside the brilliantly lit castle, servants bustled about as the men in black dragged Sophie upstairs and brought her to a bedroom.
"Young Master, we've brought her."
