<(Atem POV)>

[Ding! New mission received]

[Mission Title:Fall of the Devil]

[Mission Details: Marvel's devil is cringe and overrated, unlike the cool one from the neighboring universe. Show him what an actual god can do and destroy his reign. This mission will be considered complete when either Mephisto, his dimension of hell, or both are destroyed]

[Mission Rewards:One skill/item upgrade ticket]

[Mission Penalty:Mephisto makes you his bitch]

'Well, at least I'll be getting something out of this!' Rather than wasting time deciphering the weird system alert that had just popped up, I instead focused on the fight. As Mephisto's fist rocketed toward me from behind, I activated my Astral Manipulation, phasing through the strike like mist in the wind. Mephisto, being a Hell Lord of all things, should have been easily able to counter this ability of mine if he had expected it or foreseen it, but at near-light speed, he had no time to react or adjust to my intangibility. Therefore, instead of caving in my skull or piercing through my chest, his clawed hand simply passed through me.

"Gotcha," I said in a sing-song tone, gripping his cape from behind and yanking hard, slamming his face straight into the ground. "Was that your neck cracking, or just your old bones giving out?" I smirked as his head buried itself in the dirt.

"You… Oh, I see. I underestimated you, didn't I?" The red-skinned demon groaned; irritation laced in his voice as he tried to push himself up again. But unlike what he expected, I wasn't some hero bound by honor—I had no intention of letting him recover. So, I pulled his cape again, raising him up and slamming him down hard. Then again. And again. And again, until he was completely covered in dust and broken pieces of the floor. Then, with one final heave, I flung him across the battlefield, sending him crashing against the farthest wall of the palace.

"What do you think, Mephisto? Still feeling as confident?" I arched a brow, raising my hand as my telekinesis coiled around him like an invisible vice.

I decided to unleash the full force of my telekinetic power, not just to end this fight but to see exactly how strong my psionics were. And damn, I wasn't disappointed. Mephisto was a powerhouse—maybe not quite on Hulk's level, but close. Yet, against my full-powered telekinesis, he could barely twitch.

As my grip around him tightened to its absolute limit, I could feel his resistance weakening. He was fighting with everything he had, trying to break free, but I didn't let up. I wanted to see him pop like a water balloon—just like in those horror movies.

"ENOUGH!" he roared, unleashing a burst of dark-red energy. It hit like a shockwave, just strong enough to loosen my hold for a moment—long enough for him to barely escape and put some distance between us. "You dare insult me in my own realm? Now, you will pay for your transgression with your life." His voice dripped with venom; his rage barely contained.

Then, the space around us started to ripple. Not just the palace—no, I could feel the entire dimension shifting; it was like threads of energy were separating and peeling away from the reality of this dimension itself. My Rinnegan let me see it clearly, those strands of power unraveling from Hell's very essence and flowing straight toward Mephisto before being absorbed by him.

"Are you sure about resorting to that, Mephisto?" Hela spoke from above, her tone sounding like she was mocking him. "You of all people should know—you're weakest during the Solstice because of how intertwined this Hell is with Midgard during this period. Draw power from this dimension now, and you'll suffer the same backlash that plagues all Dimension Lords during cosmic events like the Convergence." She smirked, watching as he prepared to make his final, desperate move.

"You think you can manipulate me into just dying without trying to save my own life, woman? No, I am Mephisto, I am the oldest of all evil, the origin of all sins. I am not going to die like a mortal and that too at the hands of an abhorrence of a god like you!" He exclaimed in a maniacal scream before releasing a surging blast of dark-red energy, meant to consume everything in its path. The sheer power behind it alone was enough to warp reality itself, distorting the space around him like a hellish mirage.

But I wasn't impressed.

"Honestly, I have had better," I said while thinking about the level of power Galactus or even Odin commanded. Maybe Mephisto could have been roughly on the same level as those two... well, at least he should be as strong as Odin if he wasn't limited by the Solstice, but unfortunately for the Prince of Lies, I was a lot stronger than I was before when I first fought Odin or stopped Galactus from devouring Earth. "Now, let's see how strong my new flames and blades truly are."

With a flick of my wrist, the Blades of Chaos materialized in my hands with their chains wrapping around my arms, their jagged, steaming edges wreathing in an ominous, burning glow. But this time, I wasn't planning to use normal fire. Instead, I summoned a handful of my Voidfire and began to imbibe the dark purple flames into the twin blades just like I had tried imbibing the flames of Ryujin Jakka into them back at Niffleheim when meeting Hela. Mephisto's power could burn, corrupt, and twist—but how could it compare to the unrelenting, all-consuming flames of absolute negation?

As every single bit of my dark flame got absorbed within the two blades, giving them an ominous purple glow, I confidently whipped them forward. As a result, the chains of the blades extended like living serpents, slicing through the air. The moment the blades made contact with the wave of demonic energy, the infernal energy buckled— twisting, and flickering, as if a fan blowing away mere smoke. The chaotic hellfire had no time to resist before it was... overpowered—in just a few seconds, it simply ceased to exist, devoured by the endless hunger of the Voidfire-infused blades.

Mephisto's eyes widened in sheer disbelief. "What…?" he muttered, stepping back. "No… That's—impossible!"

I smirked. "I am a god, and you are just a demon—" I yanked on the chains, sending one of the blades flying toward him, slicing straight through the air. "—logic itself dictates that smiting you is my duty..." *BOOM* The moment the blade struck Mephisto square in the chest, a massive dark-purple explosion rang out, an explosion powerful enough to almost blow me away.

Also, I could've sworn I heard Mephisto scream in agony when the blade struck, but honestly, the sheer force and sound of the explosion made it impossible to tell for sure.

"Well, looks like I went a little overboard with the Voidfire," I muttered, realizing that the Blades of Chaos had a hidden ability—something akin to the bankai form of Ryūjin Jakka—where all its fire could be sealed within the weapon, only to unleash the full fury of its fire with every strike. "Wait… where's my blade?" I frowned, suddenly noticing that the one I'd thrown at Mephisto still hadn't returned to me yet.

I tugged on the chain of the blade, but it seemed like it was stuck for some reason. So, in an effort to find my missing blade, I used my Rinnegan to see through the smoke, dust, and destruction that I had just caused. It was then that I finally noticed Mephisto again, his sorry state still writhing in pain with significant portions of his body missing, most probably burnt away by the explosion. The blade was stuck in his chest, mercilessly pinning him to the ground while searing into his very essence as if trying to burn away his very existence.

The Hell Lord thrashed, trying to pry the embedded blade from his flesh, but the Voidfire had already begun its work, slowly consuming him layer by layer, bit by bit. His body struggled to move, groaning in pain, as he waited for his inevitable end.

Hela, still floating above, chuckled. "Oh, that was such an entertaining fight... though I can't say I am surprised by the end." She said, throwing me an impressed look.

"AHHHHH!" Mephisto's screams reverberated through the ruined chamber of the palace as the Voidfire slowly spread throughout his body. He was trying everything he could think of to escape from the pain, including trying to teleport to another location, turning himself intangible, and even trying to use various spells to slow down or blow out the fire. But nothing worked. The blade prevented Mephisto from making any magical change to his own body, almost as if it was condemning Mephisto to the fate of being imprisoned in the body of a mortal while the Voidfire was actively burning away all his defenses and power, including even the energy of the spells that he was trying to cast in vain.

In desperation, he finally began to claw at his own chest, trying to dig the blade out, but he failed miserably at that, too, since every time his hands touched the sword, he just accelerated the pace at which he was being burned. In short, it was futile for him to even resist.

Mephisto's face contorted with pure hatred and fury as he glared at me. "Damn… you… If you think this ends here, you're mistaken. I am Mephisto, the sole Ruler of Hell. The aftermath of my death will bring consequences far beyond what you can handle." He spat out the words, a last-ditch attempt at intimidation. It was a petty attempt to save his own life since he knew there was no surviving what was going to happen.

"Curse me all you want, but…" I narrowed my eyes as my Rinnegan locked onto something—Mephisto's heart. A real, physical heart, beating inside his chest. Normally, something like this wouldn't be so… tangible. But with the Blades of Chaos piercing him, forcing him into mortality while slowly tearing him apart, I could see it clearer than ever. "... you are still the one dying like a dog at my feet while Hell's about to need a new ruler." I finished with a huge grin as I used my bare hands to grab his heart before ripping it out from his open chest with a tug.

"Please, don't!" Mephisto gasped, still clinging to life even after having his heart torn from his chest. His charred hand reached desperately toward the still-beating organ in my grasp.

However, despite all his desperate pleas, I didn't care. Without a word, I simply tightened my grip—and squeezed.
