Bai Mei Jing was taken aback by the rage she saw on the beast's face. She, just like everyone else, understood the hatred between the Humans and the Beasts. The Humans had the advantage in this epoch, and instead of ending the struggle that had been going on for as long as there was recorded history, the Humans decided to tame/enslave the Beasts, and in so doing, the cycle continued. Still, the anger she saw on Kai Syaoran was more personal. It seemed as though he had a bone to pick with the people of this great Immortal City.
"Since we are both civilized beings, we should at least know each other's names and the reason before we fight to the death. This is my thinking, but I acknowledge that this might come across as ignorance to someone who has allowed anger to overtake reason," Bai Mei Jing said.
