A few moments later, Kai Syaoran found himself inside a tidy, well-decorated room. The receptionist had understood how laughable his words had been, but she hadn't turned him away. She had remained professional and led him to this room.
"Wait here while we consult the master," she had told him. That was an hour ago. Fortunately, the room was well-ventilated, had plenty of natural light, and tea had been brought in for him. There were even a few books he could read as he waited, so he did just that. These books had short stories from all over the empire. One story, in particular, caught his eye and got him thinking. It was the story of the Red Devil Warlord. He was the warlord who ruled over Red Devil City. He had taken on this name after defeating the former warlord and taking their place.
