I was having a pretty decent enough day. I just finished bingeing bleach and have finally made it to the thousand year blood war arc but like all good things it has to end and all thanks to truck-kun, he had come for me when I went grocery shopping. I was hit the moment I steep outside the door and was apparently killed instantly or so I was told leading to where I was currently standing in front of a man who calls himself a god.
As I calmly sat in front of the supposed god i didn't know what to say after all what do you say when you meet a god. After a bit of silence on my part the god told me "ok so I know that you're curious about why you're here and to tell you the reason why you are here you will have to have a bit of context" the god then continued by telling me "The man that hit you was named Jake muller, he died after crashing into you. He would've started an irreversible world war that would've destroyed the world so congratulations for that. He was going to hit an ambassador from another country that would've snowballed into another world war leading to the destruction of the planet so by stoping him you completely changed the future."
It was pretty gratifying to know that even if I died, it did something that would last even after I'm dead and gone,But it still didn't answer why I'm in nothingness. As I was about to ask the god told me.
"You're here because you have an abundance of karma accumulated. Everyone has karma it's what measures the value good one has accumulated over their live . I'm giving you another life using your currently accumulated karma, alongside several wishes of your choice as long as it doesn't exceed your karma"
It was strange having been lucky enough to save the world by accident but that just isn't sustainable I'll never have a chance like this again. I need to make the most of the wishes given to me.
As I began contemplating the best way to use the wishes. I realized that the best way I could use it is to better my next life so I decided to use my fist wish to choose where I should be born. The best way to choose a world is to use some media with a high power sealing and various ways to grow and accumulate more karma.
The first thing that came to mind was invincible or warhamer but that was an immediate nope there was no way i wanted to go to constant war all the time so it had to be something I at least had decent knowledge about. The best I can think of for a way to grow faster the was the super solder serum from marvel or the BOWs from resident evil.
As I made my first wish 'I wish to be reborn into the marvel universe' I was told "that wish will use half of your karma" as I listened to the god I couldn't help but think that it used up far less karma than I thought choosing where I would be reborn it would take up most of my karma but with half left I made my second wish.
'For my second wish I wish to retain all of this life's memories' the memories of the plot would be my most important tool for a better life as I waited to hear how much karma I had left the god told me "You're second wish will take 25% of your remaining karma leaving a final quarter"
After thinking of what else I can do for myself I made my final wish 'I wish to be both an inhuman and a mutant.' As I reminisced I thought back to what I knew about marvel. Marvel has several ways to get stronger but most of which depend on having influence in my new life which isn't garenteed so it'll be better to garentee that I'll get some sort of powers since I don't know where I might be born or appear.
If I'm born in Attalan the land of the inhumans, I would like to have the opportunity to go through terragennisis but I'm unsure if I'll end up there, but just in case it would be best to at least have the chance to become a mutant if not. As I hoped that I had enough karma I heard the god tell me
"Your third wish will cost 5 percent of your current karma leaving you with 20% of your karma remaining is there anything else." Hearing that the wish to be both a mutant and an inhuman only cost 5% of my karma surprised me I expected it to take up the rest of my karma. As I asked the god for clarification why he explained "The amount of karma cost is based on the impact of the wish on the world itself. By altering the world so that you may enter unbothered needs more energy than to create a specific circumstance to happen so I'm basically buying you into a new world. Based on the severity of the wish the cost would be pretty proportional while the wish you get would come true the more severe the backlash"
It made sense otherwise what would stop anyone for just straight up wishing for godhood but what should I spend the remaining 20% of karma on, making a wish that won't exceed the 20% of karma would be challenging but as a thought back on the plot of marvel something important immediately popped up. Most people get driven insane or blow up through the use of unstable enhancement serums like green goblin,the Lizzard, the hulk and the sentry. The best way to avoid any negative side effects is the wish but the real question was how do I use a single wish for regeneration, immortality or any other ways to strengthen myself.
After thinking for a while I decided 'For my final wish, I wish to have a perfect genetic adaptability' that was the best way to word my wish because most serums have an extremely low probability for success but not zero so as long as the possibility isn't zero it should be successful if I'm correct.
As I made my final wish soon everything went dark, as I felt weightless it came to a sudden halt as evening began to quickly speed up.

As Josh woke up he quickly found himself in the hospital.
The hospital was bright with the constant smell of antiseptic in the air it really bothered him as he tried to stand he quickly fell to the floor. Not long after nurses and doctors quickly began to surround him trying to check up on him. Josh quickly pretended not to know who he was because as soon as he looked around he quickly saw the oscorp logo on the wall and immediately remembered oscorp was all sorts of bad news from cloning to human experimentation the whole 9 yards.
As Josh looked around more closely he immediately realized that something was wrong as he looked closer to the IV drip he immediately noticed something suspicious, first it suspicious green liquid going down the iV drip and second was the suspicious number 4 on the bag, neither typicaly ever being good the first thing that came to mind with such suspicious circumstances was the lizard or the goblin seeing the drip Josh immediately panicked accidentally throwing a few of the doctors into the wall.
Seeing his enhanced strength he was even more sure that they were oscorp researchers instead of actual doctors. After running out of the room Josh immediately looked around his surroundings seeing several cameras on the ceiling.
As Josh ran through the facility he noticed how all of the shutters were quickly falling trying to trap him as one of the shutters were falling he accidentally broke the shutters. He was surprised at the strength he could exert he would have never been able to lift that much in his previous life no matter how many people there were, but now it was just his casual strength while he knew that he was in oscorp tower he didn't know what time or universe he was in.
As he was running he couldn't help but think of the current situation he's currently a runaway test subject likely for either the goblin serum or the lizard serum inside oscorp. The location for his awakening was absolute trash but he can make it useful as he made his way to the elevator he immediately ripped the doors open before slowly jumping down floor by floor.
As he made it down the second floor he immediately felt a jolt of pain as Josh got shot in the shoulder as josh looked at his wound he saw as his wounds began to nit itself closed in real time it was painful but beautiful. If a single serum was able to do this much what could everything else do.
But thet was when he felt it, he felt a tight grasp on his heart as pain immediately ran through his body as he quickly fell to the floor he felt his skin crawl it was unbearable but the gunshots continued so he had to quickly get up and run. As he made it to the basement he immediately broke the elevators snapping the cables holding them up with his claws, before looking for anything familiar or important any brief cases, animals, or vials that may seem important.
As josh felt his body he couldn't help but marvel at the toughness of his claws as josh looked into the main computer for anything of use to keep oscorp and the police from coming after him it was something Dr. Otto Octavious did to keep Norman off him in Ultimate Spider Man.
After looking through a bunch of the failed projects somthing that immediately caught his attention was the spiders there weren't many projects dealing with spiders other than ones that made spider man. After looking further into the spider project he found the title for it S-3. Josh seeing that the S3 project made Spider-Man he quickly gathered all of the files onto a hard drive alongside anything else that seemed of use.
After saving all of the information onto a hard drive he quickly found where the S series was located, he quickly picked up the whole thing throwing it on his shoulder before destroying everything in the room leaving nothing behind before leaving from the the very shaft he entered from.
As Josh climbed up the wall from the basement he was immediately shot at as he left the oscorp building he was quickly surrounded by the police. As Josh ran protecting the cart carrying the S series and continuously being shot through people began seeing as his monstrous form continued healing with the bullets being forced out of the skin and scabbing over becoming more and more numerous. Josh eventually began to molt into an even bigger form as he was being shot his skin started to bleed and fall off as he began mutating even further in-front of everyone he quickly jumped onto a building climbing onto the roof running away.
3 days later
Josh was chilling out in an abandoned warehouse he had refitted for his own use as he looked through everything he collected using his monster form. Josh expected for the lizard form to be permanent like Kurt conners but
Flashback
As Josh continued running he had eventually made it to an isolated alley he couldn't help but catch his breath after running for so long as he calmed down he eventually felt his body more closely as he slowly began breathing in and out his once muscular and monstrous form began shrinking leaving a slight different Josh than before.
Josh was a relatively decent looking New Yorker before he died but he was handsome surprisingly so. 'It must've been my last wish' as Josh was in a completely human form, all of his clothes witch was ripped and shot through held up with nothing but pure determination fell .
The fist thing Josh did was look for a clothing donation center before taking a few decently looking set. Josh *repurposed* a few bags from inside before looking around for a shady enough spot where he could stay.
Flashback end
While having a place to sleep is good it's definitely not enough as Josh went to the library he easily heard as someone was being robbed as Josh closed his eyes he easily focused to pinpoint where the mugging was going on. As Josh got an overall gist on where the fight was at he quickly looked around for a place to hide after transforming into his lizard form.
Josh quickly found his way over to where several muggers were holding a decently wealthy looking fat dude for cash. After silently making his way to a decent ambush spot above the thugs he was spotted by the fat dude who spotted him while being pushed back.
As the fat dude screamed the thugs immediately turned around seeing him and drawing their weapons, firing immediately leaving no scratches on Josh's scaled body.
Witnessing their weapons being rendered useless and his monsterous lizard like appearance the thugs immediately began begging for mercy. Josh immediately robbed the thugs of everything they had on them earrings, rings and chain's included. The pair had close to 300$ on them in cash while the jewelry would have likely gone for about 1200$ as it seems to be real gold with several jewels inlaid, while likely most of the jewels would be fake would still be worth something.
As Josh made his way back to where he left his clothes he immediately shrunk down to normal size getting dressed in a white T shirt and a gray hoodie. After leaving the alley, he walked out into the street to a decently far away gold shop.
As Josh entered the gold shop he was immediately greeted by rows and rows of gold jewelry. Making his way over to the counter he was immediately greeted by an older man with a noticeable mole on his chin who greeted "welcome to my shop what are you here for?"
'I'm here to sell, I've been on hard times recently' after putting the jewelry down on the counter Josh asked 'how much can I get for these'.
The shopkeep gave " I don't see everything going for any more than a thousand, so how about 950$."
Josh's immediate response was 'then how about going for a flat grand since all of the gems are in good quality for repair or recycling in a new piece'
The shopkeep immediately accepted the jewelry, Josh could tell it was worth more but it was a bad decision to continue causing without verifying that he had valuable information that would be bad for oscorp.
While he had stored a bunch of the information into a hard drive he still needed to see what he had so he needed a laptop at minimum or a whole set up at maximum. Gathering the thousand dollars he immediately counted how much he had to see if he had enough for a laptop, After counting he had a total of 1,267$ definitely enough for a laptop but it'll likely be pretty mid.
Making his way over to a Best Buy it was strange seeing seeing so many different logos from stark, to alkemax as they were everyday brands. Josh not knowing much about the current tech landscape chose a generic stark tech laptop for 1,250$ plus tax leaving him with a decent amount he decided to use for food.
After spending a few bucks on a burger Josh was making his way home when he spotted something strange a symbol he remembered. If he wasn't wrong it was the symbol of a safe house used by vampires. Josh definitely knew marvel had vampires but wasn't it a bit too easy to find.
After making his way to a library near his base Josh easily set up his laptop in the back of the library where there were no cameras looking before starting to look through the flash drive.
As Josh immediately began looking through the files oscorp had he looked through a bunch of oscorps data for any possible blackmail material he quickly looked up anything that had to do with Project S-3 just incase it had anything related to the creation of Spider-Man, He quickly found the failed experiment the experiment originally had 9 spiders enhanced through the use of S-2 but one went missing and the rest were all considered failures after the death of every recipient.
As Josh skimmed through the files he had on S-3 it explained that each spider had its own unique enhancements to make specialized enhanced super solders, the process used S-2 to enhance the spiders to use as an intermediary binder hopefully creating mass produable super humans.
As Josh looked into S-1 and S-2 series he realized that everything in the S series is the series about physical enhancement. The Original S1 was the famous goblin serum witch was considered a failure due to mental degradation and the insanity that it brought with the enhancement with S2 being made to hopefully overcome these shortcomings.
S-2 was designed to easily alter the genetics of animals to enhance the emergence of new, and unique abilities and traits.
The S-3 series was about using and enhancing spiders to use as an intermediary to mass produce super soldiers. (Based on marvel's spider-man show)
The S-4 series used lizards cells to help regrow lost body parts it's shown little viability with every trial ending I'd death so far. After Josh quickly looked through everything of use about the S series he easily found some less than savory experiments such as the illegal cloning lab and research results.
*While having said research would put a target on myself by norman it would be better that only oscorp knows what I look than the general public.
I don't wanna live like Bruce in hiding constantly fleeing from place to place having leaverage over Norman would ensure my safety afterall projects such as cloning are all but illegal in the US unless given federal authority.*
After Josh finished sorting the data he got from oscorp he decided the best way to make use of what he stole would be to gather samples of venom from each of the spiders before verifying what each one does before in real life tests.
