Old Madam Habsden looked at her little granddaughter, who was being coaxed with a few sweets to the point of losing direction. Feeling a bit frustrated, she negotiated with her, "Gigi, why not go play over there with Aunt for a while, okay?"
Gigi blinked her big eyes, glanced at her, then at her dad, and obediently nodded, "Okay."
Old Madam Habsden gave a look to the maid beside her, who promptly and sensibly picked up Giselle Lawrence and took her to play elsewhere.
After Gigi walked away,
she finally withdrew the loving smile from her face, looked at Baron Lawrence with a serious expression, and said, "Sit."
