As the battle ended, people scrambled to get the wounded to the hospital. Various knights were injured, and out of the 152 knights who participated in the battle, only 50 came out unscathed. A total of 75 were either temporarily or permanently injured, while a total of 27 knights lost their lives—among which one was Leo, a man who died trying to protect civilians from Malacor's onslaught. A man who died protecting the civilians. Whhhho died trying to protect the civilians who knew the truth about his captain. Yet he died in vain, as the ones he gave his life to protect died as they simply knew too much.
And as for the crime of trying to help Leo, Iris was mortally injured and was fighting for her life in the ICU unit. Three days after the incident, a memorial was built to show respect to the ones who lost their lives in the battle for the capital. The Grandmaster, Chief Justice Hedin, and finally Captain Alysa placed a flower to show their respects to the ones who lost their lives at the battle.
After the memorial, Alysa asked,
"Astrea, Anew, how are you two doing?"
Astrea said,
"Fine."
Hedin said,
"Mind if I join the conversation?"
Alysa simply nodded in a yes.
Hedin said,
"How are you two doing after the battle?"
Astrea said,
"Ok, but there are people who lost their lives for nothing."
Hedin said,
"As sad as that is, it's true. There are people who died who should have survived."
Alysa simply used her notepad and wrote,
"Yes, yet we have to live on and grow stronger so that this tragedy doesn't repeat itself."
Hedin nodded. Then Alysa wrote in the notepad,
"Oh, you two must be bored of the outside food. How about I make something for you two in our branch here at the capital?"
Hedin said,
"That sounds lovely. Mind if I join you people?"
Alysa nodded in yes.
Alysa then took them to the Belestial Being branch at the capital and cooked for them. Alysa used her notepad to say,
"Here is your food: For Astrea, a medium rare steak. For Anew, marble cake. And for Hedin, your all-time favorite—two ham and cheese sandwiches with extra vegetables."
Hedin said,
"Thanks. It's been a while since I enjoyed your cooking—or should I say, we did."
Alysa used her pad and wrote,
"I'm flattered."
Astrea said,
"Ma'am, this is delicious."
Anew said,
"Best marble cake I ever had."
And in a second, Licht appears. Licht says,
"How could I possibly resist the temptation of foods made by the one I consider my future sister-in-law?"
Astrea and Anew screamed,
"What?! Sister-in-law?! We didn't know you had a brother, Casir!"
Licht says,
"It's a long story."
Hedin says,
"Hey, dumbass. You forgot your bro has eyes for someone else."
Licht says,
"That someone is dead. And trust me, no matter who he has eyes for, his heart only belongs to her."
Alysa used her gravity magic and both Hedin and Licht just fell to the ground. She said,
"No matter what you think, but no goddamn screaming when eating."
Licht and Hedin both said,
"Sorry, ma'am. Please forgive us."
Astrea screamed,
"How strong is she? She beat both of them without screaming!"
Anew said,
"Pretty sure it's rather that they are scared of her and didn't even put up a fight."
Licht said,
"We aren't scared of her power. Rather, it's just that we are scared of her scolding."
Alysa used her pad and wrote,
"Here is your lunch: BBQ chicken pizza with extra extra cheese."
Licht said,
"Thanks. I appreciate it. One day, you will make a great wife with those skills."
Hedin said,
"Agreed. And now, as they are not married yet or even his fiancée legally, she isn't your sister-in-law. And even he isn't your brother by blood or adoption documents."
Licht says,
"You done with your crap yet?"
