Keira Leaf snapped back to reality, aware she must not appear alert.
Immediately, she feigned a sleepy look, gazing blankly at the man before her and softly asked, "Where is this?"
The bald strong man furrowed his eyebrows again, exchanged glances with the silver-framed man, then turned back and asked, "Who sent you here!"
Keira continued to play dumb, hoping that by feigning ignorance, she could make them believe that she hadn't overheard anything she wasn't supposed to.
"Why are you in my room? And why did you put me in the cabinet?" Keira didn't scream, fearing that they might become violent with her or, in a fit of urgency, actually shoot her.
So, she just pretended to be trembling and terrified, seemingly very scared, and equally baffled by the situation before her.
The middle-aged man sitting on the sofa lit another cigar, squinted his eyes, and scrutinized Keira as he approached.
