Joshua Sulliven still remained silent, but his expression softened slightly. After Keira Leaf placed the soup in front of him, he did not refuse.
Keira Leaf ate very little, hardly touching her food. After just a few bites, her stomach felt uncomfortable, coupled with a lack of energy. By the time everyone finished eating, her bowl of porridge was still full.

Joshua Sulliven got up and walked to the kitchen, rolled up his sleeves, washed the vegetables, boiled the water, and cooked the noodles in one go.
Keira Leaf stood at the kitchen door, watching him with a dazed expression, somewhat regretting her previous slip of the tongue. But the words had already been said, like water poured out, there was naturally no way to take them back.
