Lily's words were not finished before a busy tone came from the receiver.
Lily Redington's beautiful almond eyes twitched slightly, staring blankly for half a second before suddenly realizing—
"Skye... you actually hung up on me!!!"
Staring at the cell phone, Lily almost rolled her eyes.
She thought she was timid and avoided Aidan Lucas enough in the past, but compared to her best friend, she felt like a minor character.
In the past, every time Dylan Wellington was mentioned, Skye's automatic shutdown was one thing, but at least she could finish a sentence.
But this time... Skye didn't even let her finish her sentence and just hung up.
Lily mumbled, "Last time I mentioned Dylan Wellington, she wasn't so resistant... could Skye know something, did something trigger her?"
Feeling puzzled, Lily dialed a few more times.
