Chester Yale's deep voice suddenly came from the other end of the telephone.
Zoe Yale's hand shook, and the cell phone almost slipped from her palm!
Stunned, she widened her eyes, moved the cell phone from her ear, and glanced at the caller ID.
Seeing the word "Father," her body instantly stiffened.
"Dad, it's a misunderstanding, absolutely a misunderstanding. I was just reciting TV drama lines earlier, no one wants to marry me, and no one dares to marry me..." Zoe Yale's voice grew quieter as she spoke.
She felt guilty.
She didn't dare to say one more word, afraid Chester Yale would sense something was amiss.
"Are you watching TV? But how did I hear car sounds next to you?" Chester Yale's cold voice sounded indifferently.
Zoe Yale's nerves tensed!
She quickly covered the cell phone with her hand and pressed it close to her ear.
"I was watching TV just now, but I'm not watching anymore, I'm on the road..." Zoe Yale was as anxious as ants on a hot pan.
