"You can't kill me without fair judgment," I whispered. "Stripping me of my power…" My lips curled into a smirk. He glared at me. "Are you forgetting something, King Luther?"
"Huh?" he grunted, growing more furious. "What are you getting at?" he asked coldly.
"A rule passed down through generations of the Cauldron: whoever holds the dragon's power cannot be exiled from the throne. Only the one who bears that power may rule. So, if you cast me out, you'll need a child with the same power—and none of my step-siblings have it," I reminded him. His frown deepened.
"You killed Lady Leora. Doesn't that void the rule?" he countered.
No wonder Lady Agnes is playing this card, trying to push me out of the palace. My power threatens her.
