Lucas Robertson sat upright, his back straight and expressionless. He didn't take the initiative to speak; he was always good at remaining calm.
"There's been an issue in my company, and I want you to help investigate it," Sienna Johnson said.
This was the first time the two of them had spoken privately since Lucas had taken Kiki away and then returned. Sienna had been furious about his actions, so she had been giving him the cold shoulder.
"Kiki is pregnant now; I just want to be by her side. As for other matters, I can't manage them at the moment," Lucas refused.
Sienna raised an eyebrow at him. "Are you planning not to work for me anymore?"
"I'm very sorry, but right now, the most important things to me are Kiki and our child."
"Well, do you know what's most important to Kiki?"
It's Curly, it's Sienna... but it will never be me, Lucas thought, a pang of melancholy filling his heart as he pursed his lips tightly and remained silent.
