Adrian Desmond had never said "I'm sorry" so many times in his life. In front of Sienna Johnson, he found himself apologizing every few days. Those two words had really become cheap.
"We're husband and wife, right?" Sienna asked.
"Yes!"
"And shouldn't a husband and wife share blessings and hardships together?"
"Hmm...yes..." I've fallen into a trap, Adrian thought. This cunning woman, Sienna, has led me right into it. Nothing good can come of this.
Sienna finally deigned to lift her proud head, but the look she gave Adrian made his heart pound. "Sienna, what are you planning to do?"
Sienna pounced, tackling him to the ground. Adrian landed on his backside with Sienna straddling him. She pulled a pen from her pocket—it was Dexter Johnson's old Parker steel pen, a classic design in pure black with an elegant checkered pattern and a gold clip. Sienna had signed many major contracts with this very pen.
