The second Celebi was apparently taken in a different direction for modifications as it had a water typing in addition to it's standard psychic one according to the data. It was stored in a special stasis state deeper in the facility as after the escape of the original galactic did want to take any chances with this one escaping. I added collecting that Celebi to my list of objectives for this raid before moving on. Naturally I took all the data that I found as even if I myself didn't personally want it professors like Birch or Rowan would absolutely have a use for it.-
The knowledge may not have been gotten in the most morally acceptable manner originally but that didn't mean it was not highly useful as it allowed understanding that only someone willing to take that route in research could have without actually doing the research. The best way to explain it was similar to how the Germans in ww2 on earth experimented on their prisoners. They made great strides in medical knowledge that once the war was over was used to push the worlds medical field forward without someone else having needed to conduct such cruel experiments.-
How the knowledge was obtained was morally reprehensible but what it was used for was not. That said that didn't mean that the professors wouldn't feel conflicted about using the data even if for a good purpose. I could understand why too. There was this thing about knowing the horrors that made this information obtainable that sat ill with those of kind or good natures. Still the information itself held high value for the scientific community so I still planned to hand it over to Rowan and Birch. I thought about sending it to Oak as well but decided against it as he had enough achievements under his belt.-
Perhaps Rowan and Birch may be able to use the data to push their own research forward and gain the clout that came with it. Birch in particular needed this boost as he was quite young and "new" to the professor scene and thus needed something to really stand his ground with the others. Having collected this data though I continue through the building carefully checking each room as I go. I soon find the second stockpile of resources that contains many high grade resources such as supplements and even raw ingredients both rare and uncommon.-
Nothing ridiculously expensive but more valuable than the stuff in the first stockpile at least. There was even a champion level vial of venom from an Arbok there that was quite nice to find. While venoms and poisons from pokemon were the most abundant of all types of supplement ingredients the value of them at higher strength levels skyrockets the further you go up. Champion level stuff was worth as much as or even more than rare plant materials depending on the pokemon it came from. -
For an Arbok at the champion level the price was on the low end of that spectrum as the species was VERY commonly used due to how easy to obtain it was. Koga, the poison type specialist and gym leader even had a small group of champion level Arbok that he specifically trained for this purpose over many years. I collected all of this and moved on further into the complex. Being the headquarters of an entire team the building was naturally very large even if most of it seemed to be underground. The next thing of interest I found was the pokemon storage rooms that had the pokemon that the members of the team could get as a member.-
Naturally most of the pokemon I found were Zubat or Stunky but there were a rare few that broke the mold such as Magikarp and Bidoof. There were no variants among these pokemon but that was to be expected given that they were here and not in the high security pokemon storage room. I found that particular room as well and had to get a little destructive to get in as the place was locked up tight. -
The pokemon within that room were either variants or extremely rare though there was only twelve pokemon in the entire place. The majority were of the Zubat or Stunky lines at seven out of the twelve being one of the two species with some form of variation though only a single variation and not multiple. There were two variant Magikarp, one Ice variant and one attack variant. A Gible, an Eevee and a Cranidos. Not really anything worth keeping to be honest so much like the last pokemon storage room I left them behind for the league to deal with.-
Moving deeper still I finally found the REALLY good stuff. The auditorium from the games that Cyrus spoke to the team in and the high end resources and rooms. I found the data on how he crafted his red chains as well as the machines he used to do so. I found the Celebi in stasis in a blue and green pokeball. I found the genetic data of the three lake guardians alongside samples taken from them. I of course took the Celebi and started the machine on making yet another red chain but as there was only enough resources for a single chain that was all I was getting.-
I had no intention of using the chain on one of the lords of course and fully intended to destroy the data and machines on how to make one but I very much doubted that the chain could only be used to bind one of the lords. I wanted the chain in order to see if I could perhaps use it for my own path to godhood instead. Kinda like a supplement really as I still needed to put in the effort but the chain would make it more productive.-
Then again it was equally possible that it was little more than a decoration when not used on one of the lords but I doubted it. Nothing capable of something like that would be useless outside of that setting, the trick was figuring out what that use was. Honestly I knew that even having this chain was going to offend some of the legendries but I didn't care. I wasn't going to miss out on a potentially game changing item like the chain just because it upsets some of the legendries.
