'Hmm'
I sit on the dusty crumbled ground and think.
It's too bright and real to think this is just all a dream.
'ATTENTION!!'
three(3) of my thoughts suddenly arrange a meeting.
'Maybe our old phone is broken?'
Two(2) of my other thoughts and me, agrees.
I stand up and take a picture of the wall and it didn't have a dark hole in it.
'What if we take a picture of the tree again?'
Me and my thoughts agree so I took another picture of the tree.
I was taken aback and let out a sigh.
'It's still spooky no matter how much I see it.'
My thoughts start to fight and am getting impatient.
'All I have to do is touch the tree.'
I stand up and stretch my arms and scream.
'ENOUGH!.'
I clench my fist and I'm taking the courage to touch the tree where the hole might be.
I squat down and inch my way forward.
I slowly rise my hand and get closer.
'I might be overreacting and I could just run and...'
I'm slowly reaching the tree.
'and it's b-bright outside...'
Ah... it's reaching...
I closed my eyes and felt nothing?
I opened them up, thinking I am far off reach but I'm in shock...
'WH-WH-WHAAAT!!?!'
'My h-hand is gone!! it's l-like the tree is eating it.'
My brain couldn't process what's happening that I slip and accidentally stumbled.
'Ouch...'
It's so dark then a sudden orange light blind my eyes.
I see many stalls.
There's Takoyaki, Masks, Fish cakes, Lanterns...
'It's really a festival.'
I look back and see nothing, not even the tree nor a black hole.
I'm just literally looking at a wall.
I stand up and make my way towards the festival.
I clench my bag and look around.
I look from left to right and there's just vast stalls no matter where I look at.
I look up and there's lanterns, candlelight as if they were floating, I think I am on the lowest floor cause I see even more stalls on the top floors on the sides.
Then I stop for a second. Something's missing...
'There's no one here.'
Sudden realization scared me to death.
'How am I going to get away from here!?!'
I hold my hair with both of my hands and start to make a mess with it.
'Haaaah! Curiosity kills a cat!!'
I don't know where I am and I don't know how to go back.
it's too dark here and the lanterns are the only source of light so I don't know what time it is.
I grab my phone and check the time then suddenly my phone starts to glitch and then the screen turns black.
I'm quite confused on what happened but one thing for sure it wasn't helpful.
I let out a sigh and as I looked up I saw someone running.
'Wait!'
I scream and start to run.
A person that's a relief but why isn't it stopping.
I called out multiple times and she didn't seem to hear me.
She's quite tall but she's wearing a uniform and a skirt so she's definitely a she even though her hair is short.
The girl suddenly stopped and looked at me.
My eyes widened, her eyes were on the verge of tears?
I slow down then she starts to say something.
She wasn't saying anything but all I could understand is.
'Go?'
I tilt my head then she opens a wooden door then goes in.
'Hey! Wait!'
I start to run again and open the door.
My eyes were blind by light but one thing for sure is that I'm back inside the building again.
I looked back and saw the tree but the candles were not lit.
I touch the tree again but there's no hollow nor anything.
It's too vivid to be a dream but too confusing to sip in as reality.
Confused. I left the building and went home.
The day ended normally.
I tried going back there again and nothing happened. I tried lighting the candles but the fire seems to be not sticking, I poke the tree a couple of times using a stick, throw a rock and even touch it.
I brush it off my shoulders as if nothing even happens as if it never even exists.
Weeks pass by in a flash. I still haven't taken any pictures for the upcoming event.
I think hard and deeply but all I could think of is the phenomenon I've experienced.
Soon enough while walking around the streets in the city, I was able to find an abandoned house next to another abandoned one. I angle myself then raise my hands up to do a picture frame trying to find a good angle then grab my school's camera and take a shot.
I smirk a little and finally.
'I finally got the picture!'
It was a Swallow bird looking at a small wild plant, vividly could see in the background were broken appliances covered with wild plants.
'A genius!'
I overjoyed and hurriedly went to school to save it.
While walking I stumbled again on the street where I see the gap between the buildings that leads to that abandoned building.
In fear, I gulp down and head inside the narrow entrance.
...
'Fuah.'
I forgot how narrow it is that I check the camera multiple times then my bag, my clothes and my glasses.
All is safe so I move forward.
I'm finally facing the tree again, I'm finally using the camera to take a shot.
I'm a few feet away from the tree, so I step back to get a good angle. I'm pretty far so I adjusted the camera to zoom in a little bit closer.
Nothing different nor nothing new while adjusting so I take a shot.
I accidentally held it for far too long and it took a lot of frames.
During that time I was shocked cause of a black thing suddenly emerge. It didn't look like it came from the tree and it ran towards me out of fear I fell again.
My head hurts and I open my eyes. I'm in shock.
'Eh?'
The girl I saw before from the tree is staring at me and tilt her head.
I scream and crawl far away from her.
When I finally able to grasp on what's happening. I look from left to right, I'm outside the building and laying down on the grass.
What on earth happened?
'I told you to leave.'
The girl suddenly spoke. She's sitting on the grass and looks annoyed.
'You're human aren't you?'
'What?' That's the most confusing question I've ever heard.
'How about you are you human?'
My heart starts to race not knowing what the answer would be but she seems baffled.
'Eh? What the hell do you mean!?'
Oh she's mad...
She starts to lecture me on how annoying I was coming back here.
'You only have a death wish coming there, you're lucky the spirits didn't notice you.'
'Eh spirits?'
'What?'
She tilt her head in confusiom.
'You didn't see them?'
She suddenly gasp and in shock.
'Are you not dead yet?'
'.... Dead? What do you mean dead?'
'Wait are you not alive?'
'Eh?'
'EEEEHHHH!?!'
