Kaizo untied the stowaways and told Zoro to keep an eye on them on the kitchen, their prisoners complied since they knew that going against Kaizo was suicide.
At this point, Nami was caught up with the ruckus she was hearing, she thought it was just a marine ship so she brushed it off.
After finding out, she called Kaizo for a whack in the head, which he surprisingly accepted. He understood that he did something unnecessary and allowed himself the whack, just this once.
Now, Kaizo is interrogating them with Zoro and Usopp on the room while Nami and Sanji take care of Luffy. He's not THAT injured, for the record, he just needed some caretakers in case he wakes up.
"So, this is awkward." Kaizo.
"Awkward? I think they're scared outta their wits." Dias.
Ann smacked him.
"Shut up!" Ann.
The Straw Hats sweatdrop.
'Two peas of the same pod!' Zoro/Usopp/ Kaizo.
"Ahem! I don't have time for dumb shenanigans. That begins at 6:30. What I want to talk about was... (Takes Dias's and Atoli's medallions from his pockets) them apples." Kaizo.
The three of them flinch at the sight of the medallions.
"These medallions remind me of a certain legend. A legend by a rainbow themed Island with unmatched riches." Kaizo.
The trio had slummed expressions but Ann in specific was exuding bloodlust while Atoli was showing fear in her expression.
Kaizo notices this and sighs.
"Zoro, Usopp, give us some space." Kaizo.
"Understood." Zoro.
"O-ok." Usopp.
Now, Kaizo was alone with the stowaways. Ann immediately tried to claw Kaizo with her nails, Kaizo simply evaded the attack by stepping back a little as he saw Atoli hiding behind Ann.
"Calm down, hedge-maze. I just want to talk." Kaizo.
"Haven't I've heard that one before?" Ann.
"Fine, I get that in a sea as sketchy as this one, you might have your doubts. But..." Kaizo begins to exude his bloodlust.
"Do you think that your threats scare me?! Do you think I'm someone to be taken lightly?! With a single snap from my fingers, I could kill the three of you right here, right now!!" Kaizo.
The three looked scared but only Atoli hid behind Dias and Ann while they got on defensive stances.
Kaizo simply smiles and dissipates the bloodlust.
"Rainbow Island." Kaizo.
The trio tense up again.
"I've heard it's a wealthy island in terms of environment, a place that's so hidden that its location is only known by its residents. However, an outsider made contact with said island centuries ago and made a map for when the people of the island would receive others into it." Kaizo.
"But that day never came, something happened between the residents of the island and the outsiders, making them take the drastic choice of hiding their island forever. The thing was, that the queen of the time felt sad for the outsider's wish and preserved his map, only that she molded it into three medallions, kinda like these ones." Kaizo.
Kaizo points at the two medallions.
"The Fisherman's Emblem, the King's Emblem and the missing Noble's Emblem. Now, here's the interesting thing. How did such Emblems got lost in the first place? You see, a subordinate of the queen thought that the best choice would be to destroy the emblems, the queen however decided to throw them at the sea to try and "preserve" them in honor of her late friend, everyone was satisfied believing that was the end of them, how ignorant on their part." Kaizo.
Atoli showed signs of discomfort for a brief moment.
"Years later, a certain pirate group found one of the Emblems and began destroying everything to find the other two. When the news reached the ears of the natives, YIKES, they reciprocated by sending a ship to try and stop them and recover the rest of the emblems, they obviously failed." Kaizo.
(I made the entire of the story made up, the MC played the game and that's how he knows all this shit, I don't know how the rainbow island game ended or its story at all, all I know are the characters. In other words, this is an "Original" arc for a change of pace.)
"What I'm asking is, what does this has to do with you three?" Kaizo.
They all looked at him skeptically, except Atoli. She was overwhelmed by the bloodlust that Kaizo was exuding, but then she noticed that none of that bloodlust had any real killing intent.
Before she could speak, Kaizo interrupted her.
"Now, I know you may feel... "pressured" to say the least so, I'll give you some space." Kaizo.
Kaizo exited the room and found Zoro and Usopp outside.
"So? How'd it went?" Zoro.
"The usual, not very well but not bad." Kaizo.
"Is that island real?" Usopp.
"It is, but that doesn't matter now. How's Luffy?" Kaizo.
"We don't really know, if we had any food at our hand, we could wake him up immediately." Usopp.
"I've got some cooked meat. Zoro, stay here and watch the stowaways, from outside while the rest of us discuss this matter." Kaizo.
"Understood." Zoro nodded and stood near the kitchen's entrance.
While Kaizo and Usopp went to wake Luffy up, the three stowaways were debating their situation.
"I'm gonna fight them." Ann.
"Nee-san!" Dias/Atoli.
"It's not an option. We're outmatched in every single way but, at the very least. You two could escape safely with this." Ann took out a small (like a nut) Devil Fruit from her cleavage.
"But Ann, that's Balloon's." Atoli.
"I know, the Tori-Tori No Mi: Model: Roc/Bird-Bird Fruit: Model: Roc." Ann.
(The Roc, also spelled as Rukh, is a legendary bird from Middle Eastern mythology, particularly prominent in Arabic folklore. It's often depicted as a colossal bird of prey, sometimes described as being large enough to carry off elephants and other large animals in its talons.)
"Balloon wouldn't have wanted us to leave you behind, otherwise, he wouldn't had…" Dias was arguing but Ann simply punched him.
"I know!" Ann was crying.
"But what can we do…?" Ann knelt.
"If THEY find you, you'll be killed. We can't allow ourselves to lose focus of our mission. If we do, then everyone's death will be in vain." Ann.
Dias was on the verge of crying while Atoli was looking sorrowful.
She then remembers the battle between Luffy and Kaizo and a crazy idea sprout on her mind.
"What if...we ask them for help?" Atoli.
The was a brief silence in the room.
"Have you lost your mind?!" Ann.
"They're pirates!" Ann.
"But they don't seem so bad." Atoli.
"Neither did the guys who were friends with Balloon, and look where that put him." Ann.
Both of them look at Dias for some backup. The kid was quite nervous and took a deep breath as his demeanor changed and his brown eyes became black.
"We have three options. One: Sacrifice Ann so that we escape, but then we'll be even more defenseless. Two: Wait it out as their prisoners and wait until THEY find us. Third: Ally with them and promise the treasure of Rainbow Island, then betray them before they can do that to us." Dias.
Ann and Atoli nodded and continued arguing. While they were arguing, Kaizo managed to wake Luffy with some good old snacks.
"Man, that hit the spot!" Luffy.
"See, Sanji, pre-made food can save someone's life." Kaizo.
"Alright, Granted. What about the intruder's situation?" Sanji.
"About that…" Kaizo.
Kaizo tells them the story about Rainbow Island.
"So, it's a mysterious fun island, huh?" Luffy.
"Yes, Luffy, it's a mysterious and FUN island." Kaizo.
"I wanna go there!" Luffy.
"Can I speak with them?" Nami asked.
Everyone looked at her.
"You sure?" Usopp.
Nami nodded and looked at Luffy. The teens engaged into eye contact until Luffy smiled.
"Alright, take your time and speak with your sister." Luffy.
"Oi, Luffy." Usopp.
"I have two brothers so; I know what's like to miss them. Since Nami has a sister now, I think she deserves to enjoy her time with her." Luffy.
There was a brief silence on the room.
"YOU HAVE A BROTHER!!!???" EVERYONE (Including Kaizo to dissimulate.)
"Eh? Haven't I mentioned it already? Shishishi!" Luffy.
"Ok......Leaving Luffy's family tree aside, Nami, you have the room to talk to them." Kaizo.
"Yeah!" Luffy.
The crew leave the boy's bedroom and go towards the kitchen, Nami insisted on an alone meeting so everyone didn't have much of a choice but to not so discretely eavesdrop on Nami's conversation with the stowaways.
Nami entered the room and saw Ann, Dias and Atoli sitting quietly. She walks towards the table and puts the mirror from Ann and a picture of herself and her family side by side.
The trio looks at the pictures and immediately connect the dots. Ann looks at her with a surprised expression alongside the two kids.
"Around twenty to eighteen years ago, an orphan girl named Nojiko saved me from dying in the Oykot Kingdom, that was being attacked by pirates." Nami began to tell her story.
"The fight was bloody, leaving many dead and destroying the village which the two sides were fighting in. While Nojiko was wandering the destroyed kingdom, she found an injured Marine called Bellemere laying wounded on the street, she decided that it was alright to let herself die there and then. However, just as she was giving up and letting herself go, she saw both of us and gathered the strength to take the two of us back to her village" Nami.
Nami stopped her story as she looked at Ann in her eyes.
"I've dreamt of you." Nami.
Ann was surprised.
"That terrible nightmare of me being taken away from someone as everyone screamed and our father dies. It kept me awake at nights. But Bellemere always found a way to cheer me up and make my life happier, regardless of how much of a brat I tended to be." Nami.
Nami's soft smiles disappears as she remembers the fate of her mother.
"Everything was great until the Arlong Pirates came. A group of Fish-men that hated the humans to the core. They terrorized the village and killed many, Bellemere included. Then, they captured me and forced me to make maps for them for fourteen years." Nami.
"In the end, I was foolish enough to believe that he would free my island if I could gather a hundred million Berries, such a fool I was. I backstabbed, fooled and schemed many people in order to get that money." Nami.
Nami then smiles again as she closes her eyes and think of everyone in the crew.
"Until, I met a curious pirate wearing a Straw Hat." Nami.
"They're pirates! How can you be one after they killed our parents and raised hell in your hometown?!" Ann.
"Because they're not like other pirates." Nami's answer took Ann by surprise.
"The captain just wants to have fun all the time, but he'll be there when you need him. The Vice-captain is a constant pain in the ass—" Nami.
"Sweetie, you haven't experienced a REAL pain in the ass like the ones I provoke so, don't test me!" Kaizo yelled from behind the door.
"SHUT UP! I'M HAVING AN EMOTIONAL CONVERSATION OVER HERE!!!!" Nami yelled with her shark teeth.
'S-she's the same as Ann-nee-san.' Dias/Atoli.
"Ok, he's not THAT bad, because he's a softie on the inside." Nami.
Kaizo tried to yell again but Sanji and Usopp stopped him by covering his mouth.
"The green-haired swordsman has an honor code, the brown-skinned boy has his heart in the right place, and the blonde is the best cook in this side of the sea, not to mention that he's always there for my protection." Nami.
"YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Sanji, from the other side of the door.
"AHEM! The thing with these guys is, that they only want the thrill of the adventure and follow their dreams. I can tell since I'm the same as them in that matter." Nami looked at the trio and smiled again.
"I can tell you the rest later but, I would like to hear about you and your situation." Nami extended her hand towards Ann.
The teenager was overwhelmed with different emotions, hatred, happiness, sadness, all of those revolving around her idea of what a pirate is. But her heart knew the choice it wanted, she stood up, walked towards Nami and gave her a hug.
"It all started years ago…" Ann began to tell the story with teared-up eyes.
