As Adam slows his car down, he looks down at his thigh as Isla is holding onto him as if her life depends on it.
He turns to look at her and sees Isla breathing heavily, trying to catch her breath after that very intense car ride he made her just experience.
Adam didn't hold back on his driving at all and pushed his car to its limit, which he rarely does. Of course, he wouldn't take such a risk if he didn't have the confidence to handle the machine that he is driving.
His enhanced sense, his enhanced perception of time, and his absolute control over his own muscles make his driving skills almost supernatural, giving him the confidence to drive the car as he pleases. There was never a risk factor anywhere with him in charge.
But the same thing can't be said for Isla; she doesn't have the things that Adam possesses.
