As Julia pushes the door open, she finds it empty. There are no signs of Adam anywhere. She walks in and stands before the bathroom door, trying to listen to see if he is inside, but quickly notices that the door is locked from the outside.
He is not here. She thinks. 'Then where is he?' she questions. She did see Adam's car parked up front when she drove in.
'Did I miss him downstairs?' She wonders and walks out of his room. With no sign of Adam anywhere on this floor, she heads downstairs. Her eyes were searching for him, hoping that she would get a glimpse of him before he did.
She arrives at the large living room and finds it empty. She walks into the kitchen, hoping she can use it as an excuse to drink water for being there, but when she sets foot in the kitchen, she finds it empty as well.
Everything looks neat and clean. Xu Lin has done a great job cleaning up after breakfast.
