Chapter 18 - Chapter 18 Plan

Konoha.

At the northeastern outskirts of Konoha was a residential community with pretty good security, as the houses here all belonged to wealthy individuals. Isagi's house was multiple storeys high, with a spacious courtyard that had enough space to practice normal ninjutsu.

Isagi's father had been a businessman and his mother a shinobi, though the former had died of heart failure two years ago and the latter even earlier on a mission. He was the sole heir of this huge estate and had enough money to last a lifetime.

Isagi had hired a few maids and a head butler to take care of the house, since he was most of the time outside doing tasks or missions.

Isagi had just arrived outside his house when a maid watering flowers in the courtyard spotted him. She hurriedly put it aside and rushed up to welcome him.

"Welcome back, Isagi-sama."

Her movement alerted the other maids and the butler as well. All lined up as the butler in front welcomed him, an old man dressed in a black suit.

"Please prepare dinner while I go take a bath. I feel like I could eat a whole cow myself." Isagi was sick of the bland meals provided at the Forest of Death tower and all those chakra food pills. He wanted some real food. He immediately instructed the butler while rubbing his empty stomach.

The butler began overseeing the preparations for his sumptuous dinner while Isagi, flanked by two maids around his age, headed to the bath. After awakening his memories, he felt for the first time that this world ruled by strength was truly different.

He didn't have to do anything. They got him out of the sweaty and dusty shinobi gear. First Isagi took a shower to wipe off the sweat and grime, one maid helping wash his back while the other dutifully heated the water in the bathtub.

After the shower, Isagi sank into the lavender-scented hot water bathtub. One of the maids stood behind him and began to massage his head, the other his arm on the armrest.

Isagi noticed he didn't even have to give them instructions. They were so used to this over the years, though in his memory, his self before awakening the memories of his past life had not taken the final step with them.

And Isagi intended to keep it that way. At least in this life he wanted to save his first time for someone special, someone he already had eyes on, but it needed a lot of time to work out.

After the bath, Isagi, with the help of the maids, changed into a charcoal yukata fastened with a grey sash, the chest area left open, exposing his strong muscles brimming with strength.

After the sumptuous dinner, in which he ate at least enough for ten people, Isagi headed to his room on the top floor and lay down on the huge mattress. He sank into it as sleep gradually took over him.

Arisawa Residence. Next Morning.

After a ten-hour sleep, Isagi finally woke up. He freshened up, had breakfast, and only after that gave long thought to what he had to do next.

First, he opened his property panel to get a better idea of his short-term advantages and shortcomings. Only then could a good plan be made.

"Hmm… I'm probably at the bottom or average among elite jōnin…" Seeing his ability column, Isagi did notice that he had one of the best sensory abilities, which hardly even a Kage possessed. But aside from that and the medical ninjutsu he had copied from Kabuto, the rest was all average among jōnin.

His taijutsu, Body Flicker Technique, and arsenal of ninjutsu still needed to be improved, and he desperately needed one strong offensive trump card which he currently lacked.

"So, who can bring the most benefits in one single copy?" Isagi thought. He had only five more replication chances left for the year, so he needed to think carefully from now on about who he should copy and how it could benefit him the most.

Isagi pondered, thinking about who would be available during this time and who he could easily touch without arousing suspicion. Isagi considered the ability to copy others a taboo, and he didn't want anyone to figure out that he could copy them simply through one physical touch.

At least not now. When he had attained a higher level of strength, he wouldn't mind as much, but even then he would try his best to avoid exposure of this ability.

After a while, Isagi finally decided on who he should copy. Two candidates appeared in his head, one of them his priority. He walked to the window and gazed in the direction of Konoha's hot springs.
